    There is also this one at 84% off, and probably others too…

    Out of curiosity for anyone that sees this comment, what specifications do you look for in smart watches?

    • IQ
      Clock speed
      Watchnerd's rating

      • My understanding is he doesn't deal with smart watches.
        Completely different market…

    • Can it tell the time?

      • +5

        i don't think so … use phone for that.. :)

    • Battery life and compatibility with apps. There's no mention of either for these 2. I notice the one you linked is listed as 128MB RAM - how much difference will that make over 32MB?

  • Don't order in black; 18-20 days processing time.

    • i just did ordered black.. lets hope it should come in time :)

    Yeah this will end up in a drawer very quickly.

    • Aghh c'mon don't you want to play Dick Tracy just once? It's my re-gifting drawer anyways!

  • Is this 2G or 3G device?

  • +1

    2G SIM is not supported in Australia.
    Its NFC is useless for payments, this is not an android or IOS or Windows watch, no payment app supports this NFC.
    Could be used as a simple watch

    • Seriously.. isn't it too much expectation on US $13 watch ?

      • -1

        All basic watches are around $6-12. This watch has nothing extra. Plus its SIM and NFC are literally useless.
        The neg is just a warning, nothing personal.

          no worries mate.. non taken..
          I do not have energy to go into any further arguments.. yesterday already had a good time with Tom on other matters..

          @pal:

          Was about to buy but seeing these pricing you just provided, will wait and do more research.

        • @Being Askhole:
          Thanks for your post BA, never know the price of these watches are quite cheap, always thought they are about 80+. Quite a few of my colleagues got a smart watch, always thought about getting one. But now you have given me a reason to get one, but I will do a bit more research. BTW, I still think you have the coolest name, I start to repeat your name when I got bored :)

        • +1

          @htc: no problem mate.. yeah no need to rush.. do research and buy the one which suits your need :)

        • +1

          @pal:yeah have point .. these are cheap..and may be similar to the one i posted as market is very competitive but i tried to post the one which has high selling or demand along with very good reviews.

          @htc:
          Glad It helped you make a better decision.

          @Being Askhole:
          Thank you. Appreciate it.

        • @Being Askhole: well that was a rabbit hole I just got sucked into. I guess Tom was having a bad day.

  • Has anyone used these watches to track their kids?

    • -1

      Not possible. No app supports these watches. Get an Android watch/phone.

  • There are few cheap smart watches in groupon too. With 15% off it should be good value. I bought this one as a gift the touch screen isn’t very great but the feedback was good

      I bought exactly one of these for $10, DZ09, is in front of me.

      • Where did you buy

        • I don't remember but I provided links to similar watches that I bought before up there on eBay. Anyway get a good watch, don't waste your money unless you literally just want to know the time!
          My criteria to buy a smart watch would be;
          Wi-Fi (must)
          Bluetooth 4 (must)
          NFC (must)
          Android Wear 2 OS (must)
          Battery life
          Sport and activity sensors
          GPS and navigation (somehow important)
          3G,4G Sim support (absolute must)
          Quick Charging, wireless or magnetic doc
          Enough storage and memory
          Appearance
          Replaceable strap (somehow important)
          Water resistant (Must)

  • So what does Watchnerd reckon regarding this watch?
