I guess if you need something to validate your existence you'd think it was important.

I'm not surprised, I don't think their quality was particularly good. I stopped buying from there a few years ago now as my shoes would always fall apart - which is not something that commonly happens to me.

    • Air doesn't really compress, so using it as a "cushion" was marketing bullshit.
Owned a pair of airflex in the past and was thankfully when dog chewed them up, got some normal rubber soled shoes have been so much more comfortable.

  • I think they are the same company of Zu Shoes, I really like the Zu shoes but they were closed few years. Feel sad

  • Someone at work just told me they are closing down,….

All the stores are closing? Or just the anonymous store that you are near?

    • Perth store is staying open but apparently no longer stocking airflex brand. They said all other stores in WA are closing and i assume nation wide.

      • went during lunch and bought for the whole family. Sales Assistant told me that the stores in the shopping centres like Carousel and Garden City have closed and will send all remaining stock to the Hay St Mall stall and this store will remain open for next week only.

    • The brand is closing with another brand taking over all the leases. May be the same parent company.

  • I heard this too just now. I'm guessing it's nationwide

  • It’s owned by Betts Shoes which are also closing all their Betts Kids stores. I posted the original press release about the closure here:

  • The quality is fairly poor for non sale price.
But there were always 50% sales which put them into the good for price category. Clearance prices make them great, if size/style left.

I've had good value from a few pairs, but can see how the quality and non sale prices stopped them gaining many customers.
