Looking to find a desktop computer for my parents, don't want to go down the DIY approach as i don't want to be constantly coming over if something goes wrong.
Will be used for general purposes. Having a good sized display would be ideal and will also need speakers. Large amounts of hard drive space would be handy.

with or without PC, you need to coming over more often anyway, they are your parents, not someone else, so, no excuse to build one by yourself at least save some and build a better relationship.

Pretty sure buying a premade vs DIY will have no impact on your need to come over and help/fix it. 99% of PC problems are software/user related and the 1% that are hardware related, I'd rather know exactly how it went together then play the prebuilt lottery.
You need to list a budget or anything we recommend is shooting in the dark.

What makes you think buying a pre-built PC is going to solve this?

And you seriously need to be more specific on the specs, no one knows what your parents are using the pc for. General purpose doesnt explain much.

Honestly though, if your only requirements are a display, speakers and a hard drive then just go with the cheapest thing you can find.
