  • This card is mostly unnafected by the mining boom isnt it?

    Seems reasonable.

    • +1

Low end cards are not affected. You can't mine with anything that has too little memory after all.

      • +1

These cards run great for mining. Hashes 500 h/s on cryptonight algorithm after bios flash and some tweaks (RX vegas only do 2000h/s after tweaks). I've been buying a lot of these as well as the rx 550s which hash 420-450 after tweaks. per dollar basis, these cards actually better for mining and also lower energy cost.

of course you cant mine Ethereum with 2GB memory but doesn't mean other coins are not minable

        • really? I thought the DAG size is larger than 2GB by now. What are you mining?

        • @scrimshaw: DAG is only for Ethereum.

Im mining cryptonight coins. Monero is the main cryptonight coin but there are smaller coins like electroneum that are more profitable.

        • what's your power usage on these?

        • @kiwibayer: about 35-45W at the wall.

  • purchased one today at MSY for AUD165 as I want it immediately. Good video card for light gaming like CSGO and PUBG.

I replaced my 650ti, very slight improvement in quality, but more smooth graphic.

    • quality is your game settings (unless auto)

      • Low I'm betting

      • What I mean is I can lift to low graphic from ultra-low graphic setting, 650ti is laggy on low setting but is playable on ultra low.

  • Any opinions between this and a GTX 960?

    • Get a 1080ti instead.

      • I currently have a GTX 960. Was wondering whether it was worth the upgrade.

    • +1

Not in the same league. The GTX 960 was a mid end card. This is a low end one, and it's sort of more equivalent to a GTX 950.

  • gone where the days when this card was $89

  • Would this be a good upgrade from a 6950?
