19l Ball Lock Keg $105 + $10.63 Metro Shipping or Free Shipping over $200 @ Kegking

100

Hi all, these are not on sale often so I thought I'd put it up here. Usual price is $135.

2nd hand kegs are on sale too but you probably want to buy a seal kit and maybe a new lid. If you're going to do that then this deal with new lid + liquid and gas posts is probably better. https://www.cleverbrewing.com.au/kegging/corny-keg.html

      Don't get too excited… It's empty :(

      • Yeah but it makes me want to brew again.

        • too much effort…

          @jv: agree with you there.

@jv: Sooo much less effort when you keg.

        • @jv: Good beeer is never too much effort :D

No guarantee that it will be good. Have tasted some awful home brews…

I've never tasted good homebrew……I usually pretend I don't drink when people start to offer me their homebrew.

        • @ash2000: Fair call. I've had some pretty bad swill too. I only brew all grain and have full temperature control over the whole process. My beer is (usually) as good as any craft beer you can buy.

Sounds like more encouraging results…..I've never tried keg brewed home-brew.

Do you use natural for forced carbonation? or just CO2 for dispensing?

        • @ash2000: CO2 forced carbonation and same pressure for serving. You have to balance the system. I set the pressure at about 16 psi which gets a nice level of carbonation in the beer but serving pressure is much lower so I add extra tubing to drop the pressure at the tap. 2.5 meters of 4mm inner diameter hose does the trick.

If anyone wants Coopers DIY Pale Ale & Brew Enhancer No.2 it's $20.00 @ Dan Murphys.

It was $18.00 last month but this is still a good price.

  • I've just started kegging…. Might jump on one of these…. I need a bigger fridge!

I use a chest freezer - fits two kegs in the left half and you can throw in your cartons on the right side when youre between brews / want something different. Just need to disconnect the thermostat and cut a hole in the bottom front to install a STC-1000 digital temp controller. http://www.ebay.com/bhp/stc-1000
Throw the temp probe inside over the back and youve got full digital control.

I've got a temperature controller for my fridge except it only fits my co2 and one keg…. Need to make some holes in the fridge so I can keep the co2 on the outside.

Is also my fermentation fridge….. I need more gear!

I have a Fisher and Paykel h215. It's the perfect keezer. Fits 4 corney kegs on the floor, 6L CO2 in the middle of the kegs on the floor plus fits another 2 kegs on the compressor hump (can't quite fit connectors on the ones on the hump) all without modification. STC1000 to keep it at fridge temperature and your laughing!

        • Good point - forgot to say my gas it outside. I actually run gas into the freezer and beer line out, through the wayy to a mini bar with Tap. Need to expand to 2x taps so I can have soda water on all the time. Family loves it!

Wow I didn't know about kegland. Good tip! Cheap prices. The Robobrew is $369!

    • Kegland doesn't do free shipping

    • Postage to Sydney was $13.65. Total price $112.65. A huge saving of $2.98.

  • OMG, stop it, I didn't need to see this, I just got 2 of these, got 5 waiting to be filled… but the bargain seeker in me can't resist, need more…

  • kegland is run by few old keg king staff…

    • Interesting. A few weeks back kegking.com.au domain stopped working and was hastily replaced with keg-king.com.au. I wonder if there was a mutiny…
