is this an add-on for the game, or the game itself?
that is for the actual pve game. battle royal is an extra they developed.
I believe it's 'the game' but the PvP is still going to be free. This seems to have a PvE version as well and probably a few other bonuses.
Is it worth getting anything above Standard if you don't care about skins? Do the loot packs and rare weapons make the game better, or is there plenty of stuff to pick up as you go along like in Battle Royale?
same question …. what do you get that you don’t in battle royal besides cosmetics like skins.
challenge seems to be for these games is to have enough players in the community for multiplayer to be viable so free to play gets. umbers up but not make it pay to win with in-app purchases they sell eg weapons you can’t collect by playing so people don’t get unfair advantages if they have deep wallets.
that just leaves campaign mode, co-op vs AI, skins etc if you want to charge for a game
The new season of Battle Royale starts today/tomorrow, I would highly suggest waiting to see if they are about to announce the release date of the PVE mode into the free 2 play market before making this purchase.
My son has been hammering the Battle Royale mode every weekend. Even he says to wait for the full game to go free. 8 Years old BTW and i havent allowed him to spend a cent.

PC version is also on sale direct from Epic Games. Probably just means they're getting ready to announce their release date, the Founders version is for Early Access. Their intention is for the PvE game mode to be free to play on release.
