[WARNING] Don't Update Android Pay to Google Pay if You Have Unused Vouchers from the Android Pay "Tap. Pay. Win." Competition

Hopefully everyone who participated in this:

Has either spent their vouchers (or sold them), or has taken screenshots of them.

If not, don't upgrade to Google Pay until you've done so, or you'll lose the vouchers!

If you still have Android Pay installed, open each of your vouchers, and hold the volume-down button and power-button to take a screenshot.
Be sure to include the barcode and the PIN where applicable.

I would have lost 22 Village Cinema vouchers if I hadn't taken screen shots.

  • Too late…

    • That sucks, I hope you didn't lose too much…
Maybe see if you've got an phone (maybe one which won't get Google Pay but supports Android Pay, if such a thing exists)?
If so, you might be able too add your google play account to it, and have the vouchers sync down?

That doesn't sound right…… Ping google and ask for a WTF, please give me back my vouchers if you lost them.

My rebel sport vouchers transferred over during the switch to google pay, but guess it's a good precautionary measure :)

Right. A co-worker told me she lost her vouchers in the transfer.
I haven't actually checked mine, because I did the screenshot + factory reset and then sold each phone after the 1-month promo ended lol.
I'll have to grab her phone and take a look myself.

My Justice League characters transferred over, that's all that matters.

    • Mine didn't….should've taken a screenshot haha

I updated a few days ago and my vouchers are still there. But thanks I'll just make some screenshots in case.

  • My coles $5 vouchers transferred over to google play

  • I've checked one of my phones, the vouchers did indeed transfer accross. But my coworker's phone doesn't have them. Either some kind of user-error or they're really lost.
I guess it's worth being careful.
