Optus Christmas Deal 2017 Billing Problems

I put in the order before the expiry but Optus did not process the order until 16 Jan. I wasn't given any notification that the discount pricing will not be honoured. Optus also went ahead and just sent me the device.

in the first month, i rang to clarify the bill does not have discount applied. the Consultant indicated that it is month in advance. so it will be a full bill. The following bills will have the discount. Now i spoke to Optus again, they say because i ordered in Mid-Jan, they cannot give me the discount.

It is escalated but i do not have confidence it will be resolved. They say they will ring me. I kinda doubt it.

Is anyone sharing a similar experience?

    If you have proof that you ordered during the promotion and Optus took their time activating then insist that they correct, if not go to the Ombudsman, that's what they're there for. If it's any consolation you are in good company, Optus do this all the time, I am sure it is a ruse in hope that customers just give up chasing them up.

    ah reminded me of my nightmares dealing with optus. seriously i thought i have get older 6 months in just 4 weeks dealing with them. never again. moved to kogan. happy days.
