Cheaper on Kogan though if you use ref credit + $20 off $100 spend code + Shipster and for those who just got the coupon for $10 off because of the pricing error, you can bring it down even further :)

Can you please elaborate on how to get this $20 Kogan credit? :-)

      • Check the classifieds or eBay, heaps of people selling on there.

      Kogan is sold out though

You're right, I was looking at Kingston. Silly me.

Looks like its only ~$4 more from MSY. I would rather get it from MSY and not have to worry about lost/damaged parcel etc and you'll get better warranty.

    • If you don't like FreeShippingTech you can buy it from here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/363386

      • AFAIK, Shopping Express doesnt have a bricks and mortar store. Same thing applies.

    • Yes, best buy from a local reseller with warranty for a few $ more.

    • +3

I don't think many people would associate MSY with better warranty…

At least you have a physical human being to abuse (as a very last resort). After their big fine from ACCC, I'm sure they're still tightly under their watch.

      • They were found guilty and fined for misrepresenting consumer rights under ACL. If ever there was a time that threatening them with a dispute to the ACCC would work, it would be now.

    • Very true. No point when the saving is so small. You'd save a lot of hassle when you need assistance if the thing breaks down

This was $75 once at MSY.

    • How do you know? I can see cached pages showing prices at $109 and $107 only…

    • Years ago? SSDs were much cheaper years ago.

  • Hang on - "Generous battery life"?

Somebody needs to confirm if 'generous' meets the ACCC's guidelines on product advertising. Perhaps 'reasonable' battery life is a better fit, or 'adequate'.

Or 'none', for more scientifically proved accuracy :P

    • +1

I'm not even sure what "generous battery life" has anything to do with an SSD
