      All you get with membership is a Thunder lanyard and your barcode membership card.

      I'm assuming it'll be similar to last year where swiping a Thunder membership card at the Easter Show entry gates got you in on their two listed dates.

          Sign up at the link OP posted. Pay $2 with your credit card and the Sydney Thunder will send you a member pack including your card which you can use to access the easter show for free on those 2 dates.

    Be aware of this clause in the terms and conditions beside the automatic renewal checkbox, which certainly looks like it could be dodgy:

    Membership payments will automatically be deducted from your nominated credit card on a monthly or annual basis, in line with membership pricing and instalment periods. The Sydney Thunder reserve the right to renew your membership automatically, unless the club is contacted, by the primary member, and an opt out request is submitted to remove auto renewing.

      Receive my membership pack today but no mention of the Royal Easter Show in the welcome letter. Deal page is now "404 Not Found".

    Sydney Thunder sent me the below stating that in regards to the auto-renewal for next season apart of T&Cs of this $2 Membership that it requires you to automatically renew for next season.

    I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but looking at the membership details supporter membership does not include access to the easter show. Only regional membership level or greater.     "Yes you do get access to the Easter Show, you have access on either the 23/3 or the 29/3. Your Membership card is your ticket into the Easter Show, at the gates they will scan your barcode on your card which will gain you entry into the show.

    If you have any other questions please let me know!"

    Good and bad news:

    "Yes your Membership gets you access to the Easter Show, you just need to present your Membership card at the gates on either the 23/3 or the 29/3, you only have access to the show on one of those day and you don’t need to nominate which day.

    In regards to the automatic renewal, it’s a requirement to rollover with this $2 Membership deal. Your Membership will automatically renew regardless of whether you un-ticketed the box. If you don’t want this to renew you need to return the Membership pack and we will refund you the $2, thus meaning you will not have access to the Easter Show this year.

    The rollover date will not be until August/September, we have payment plans available."

      How are they going to enforce that after the membership has been cancel? What a strange $2 offer this is.

      We could argue that the T&Cs were not properly disclosed during membership sign up, so they have bleached the ACLs. This is what you got when you clicked to read the T&Cs.

      I've just edited my payment detail to use my Coles Reloadable MasterCard with only $1 in it.

      I saw no mention of automatic full priced renewal requirement else I wouldnt go ahead.
      I had to take a work day off so the deal is horrible if I have to pay full price membership next cycle.
      What the point of unticking auto renew if it doesn't work.

        I called today to cancel my membership. I was told that it was clearly communicated at the time of the $2 Promotion that the membership would renew in full and as such I need a valid reason to cancel. I need to explain these extenuating circumstances IN WRITING which will then be submitted to the manager for consideration. I didnt even go to the easter show.

    Had a talk with a guy on their line.

    They say that if you havent got your pass yet, you won't get it in time.

    However you can call them on the day and pick up a printed pass from their office which is on the site.

    He said you can only go one day though.
