    Flying ADL to NYC with Etihad. Does this mean it heads west stopping in Adu Dhabi 30hr ish flight?

      Yes that's the route to New York from Australia, definitely not the quickest way to get to New York.

        But you do get USA pre-customs which means you don't have to clear customs in the USA, so a little bit of an advantage.

        Plus you can pay to enter a lounge and relax.

        Flew Etihad Melbourne to New York in September 2016.

        A little bit longer (27 instead of 24 hours), but couldn't complain about it.

          I think if you agree to the search (i.e. not return home) at the CBP and you're caught with contraband then you're subject to local laws at Abu Dhabi.

          I should probably google for actual evidence before I post this :)

      The cheap dates varied with so many routes but most seemed to be between March and a July 2018.

      Best bet is to click through and have a look at the cheapest dates found for the destination you are interested in.

    How do you see the Mel - Abu Dhabi routes on your website? When I click the link above, I only see the prices for 11 destinations. Missing are Nairobi, Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam and Athens. Manually searching for Abu Dhabi doesn't give the cheap fare either
