iPad will be faster and easier to use. More places for warranty also. I'm no Apple fan, but the iPads just seem to be better.
In the tablet department, there's really no competition. iPads are simply superior to Android tablets.

I am not sure about the superiority. I can expand Android tab storage with microsd. I can load media via OTG thumbdrive.
Every time i need to load media to iPad, i have to use the Apple malware (iTune).

Not the case with iPhones vs Android devices. Sales volume is also a poor metric for a comparison like this, including factors such as marketing.
It's been a great tablet but it was cheaper at launch almost 2.5 years ago with this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/212923 so looks like old stock that's no better or cheaper.
Given you can get a lenovo p8 for around half the price, I would be hard pressed to recommend the S2 8 inch tablet for the price.
Local stock plus 24 months manufacturers warranty for S2.
LineageOS support on the Samsung too for long term support.
If local warranty is priority, I'd still go the Lenovo Tab 4 8" for half the price or 10” Plus for the same price over a 2.5yo device. The Tab 3 8” Plus aka P8 is at the sweet spot of specs and price though.

I just paid $320 for a 10 inch octacore 2ghz 3gb ram Lenovo 7.0 android. Trumps this in just about every way. I'd advise all in sundry to pass on this one. Only thing lacking on the Tab 4 10 Plus when compared to this tablet is the 1920x1080 resolution, but that's not much of a loss.
Anyone know how emulation is on these things?
