    I don't believe this is a baby thermometer. There are way better options which are safer, more accurate and less intrusive. Besides, you wouldn't risk the health of your baby to a $0.52 thermometer.

    I'm also not convinced this type takes temperature in one second…

      I am sure these would normally have to pass standards showing they were safe in Australia - food grade non toxic plastic, no heavy metals etc 52c seems almost too cheap

    Reasonable thermometer.
    I have two.
    Aldi used to sell them for $9.99.
    Might have been $2 or $3 on eBay,hence the second one. Currently from $1.66.
