The Good Guys Services after Taken over by JB

I used to shop a lot from the good guys both online and in-store before they taken over by JB.
I've done one for the Logictech discount shopped a set of Keyboard/mouse for $22 and choose pick up from the Auburn store.

I may take some responsibility for the 2 visits.

1st Visit, Been the store on the first day when they email me at around 5:45pm (they used to close at 6pm) and the door suit which is now they close M,T,W & F at 5:30pm. Still saw worker inside, knocked the door and got sent away not willing to help and listen.

My fault didn't check their current time can't blame anyone.

2nd Visit, be their on Thursday which close at 9pm, forgot my wallet……..I got a JP Certified copy of my driver licence in car (just in case that i can still drive when i forgot my wallet), try my luck and got sent away, they not accept paper copies of ID. Even i stated it is a deemed original as it is a certified copy, not interest. and if you cancel your order, please email to customer service, can't do it in store.

A bit sad with it but part of my faults, however, i didn't feel like they are more humanity as before. They used to a bit more helpful (i remembered one time they did do collection after close time (2m late that time at 6pm) before the JB taken over.

Anyway, anyone have their drama with them before and after?

No dramas with them here - But I usually show up when they are open and take my wallet. Sooooo that could be why its been pretty easy for me. I hope your third visit goes better!

you mean all your fault right?

Coming soon to ACA: JB inhumanity to late-comers and people without ID.

I wouldn't have let you pick it up after the store closed, or if you didn't have your ID.

  • Never had an issue with them.

I can understand why they wouldn't want to accept the certified copy of your ID. Not only does it lack a whole bunch of verification measures, but it raises the question as to why you would have a copy lying around instead of bringing your wallet with the original.

Just remember your wallet and turn up before they close next time.

Is this even legal, driving with a certified copy of driver licence?

    • you can drive without carrying your license at all, if you're over 26

      • Not in QLD

        • Funny you say that because phunkydude is also from Queensland.

Depends on the state, but doubt it would be accepted if a licence was required. If nothing else, leaving a certified copy of your photo ID in your car seems like a great way to have your identity stolen.

      • In the context of this post ie. NSW, since OP is visiting the Auburn store (Sydney).

So meaning, if the police isn't going to accept the paper copy of the licence then why should The Good Guys?

, i didn't feel like they are more humanity as before.

Where's your humanity? You want the staff to stay back, most likely unpaid, because you're unorganised?

  • So to you, for some reason, customer service means them going out of their way to make sure your satisfied ? I think what you consider customer service, and what is actually customer service are 2 very different things.

  • Who do you blame when you spill your drink?
