If you’re happy to be stucked for the next 2 years, then this is a deal.

    • With Optus, you can change or switch plan anytime, you just need to pay remaining handset payments

Including any amount Optus was going to cover.
Still have to pay out your plan + any discounts.

Stick with a ruined version of Android with next to no updates. Oppo, never again.

      • Sorry for going off topic here, but I grabbed an Oppo R11s yesterday from JB (outright) to be my spare phone. Do you guys have any experience with it? I haven't opened the box yet, if the feedback is bad I will swap it for a Nokia 8. Ta

you better swap if you want software support

Nokia seem to be good with their Android support. Over the two, I'd go with Nokia for sure.

      • why never again?

      • Have you tried Lineage on it? I haven't, but I'm tempted. I don't have an Oppo, but I have Redmi Note 3. Still going strong, but I can't stand the fact that it's never going to get off Marshmallow.

    • Can't find any in depth reviews by intelligent people.

you also can get new model Oppo R11s with Virgin Mobile $40 24months Plan

Virgin has 4GB data only though. This Optus deal is basically their $40 Sim only plan with a low/midrange phone thrown in. Worth considering perhaps?

  • r9s or a73?

    • A73 - very similar degisn to OnePlus 5T

Having said that, this handset is available as prepaid for around $299, and unlocked for $370.

Probably not worth being tied to 24 months contract.

  • A73 is only $5 on $30 plan.
