They don't look like the ones in the game :(

    • What game might that be?

      • Halo

  • What is this "Removable Sock"?
I just watched a youtube video and saw a removable inner sole, but not a sock.

Second question: how is "FG" defined?
Is that pitches with some give and a lot of grass?
Some of the pitches and parks I play on are almost as hard as astroturf.

Is hard ground different to firm ground?

    • The removable sock is the inner sole, the sockliner is just a term for this part of the boot

FG is for firm ground pitches, this would typically be a grass pitch that is firm. We have an SG Soft Ground range for winter grass surfaces too.

Most brands offer an AG soleplate for artificial grass but we won't have this option until later in the year. Our FG's can be used on an artificial grass surface also.

      I hope this helps

      • Thanks for informative replies.
I think I would need to try on a pair before buying (I played my first game for a few years, and my first in Australia, last weekend and my new "FG" boots (not this brand) felt quite unstable on the hard grass pitch and both boots split where the leather joins the sole in just 20 mins! I switched to a new pair of indoor trainers which were slightly roomier in the toes and ended up with a blood blister on the end of my big toe and blisters on the upper parts of my little toes.

Is there anywhere in Sydney that stocks these shoes?

        • Hi Sam, we unfortunately have no retailers in Sydney, and this would only be an online deal. The closest retailer we would have is in Newcastle

        • @rsg26: OK, thanks, rsg26

  • Looks like soccer, shown in their website.

    • Thanks - just reached the same conclusion via Youtube.
The website and wikipedia mentioned AFL and rugby too, hence I was after clarification.

      • We have pro players in Rugby, AFL and Soccer wearing our boots, so good for any of these sports.
