I’d like to thoroughly recommend this set.

It’s huge, easy to add a motor and always draws comments. Easy-is to build. And at this price a bargain.

    Lego have finally figured out that they're crazy to retire popular sets, just to let the hoarders/flippers make a bunch of money. Instead, they're re-releasing old sets and keeping sets running for much longer now.

    Motor kits are about $50.
    
    I have no idea how LEGO decides which kits get retired. It seems to be quite random.

    It’s not too difficult. They’ll love making the gondolas and the ice cream stand etc.
