I actually found a good deal. I'm going to try and post my first ozbargain. Wish me luck.

    • +2

      Good luck!

    • +4

      Good luck, can't wait.

    • +4

Great story can't wait to see it!

    • +4

      The suspense is killing me.

    • +2

      posted yet?

      • +17

        Just did.. Sony headphones.

        • +4

Good job man, the ozbargain effect made it out of stock already!

        • +19

Long time lurker here. Posted two deals a long time ago. Got severely harassed and shouted at. 😉 Gave up.

So well done you and my compliments on your bravery.

        • +2

@GuiGuy: Yes I have posted some great deals over the time but the last few times left me feeling like not bothering to share again, so I'm more of a lurker not a poster now. I did not realise it till I read your post and then recognised I have done the same.

    • +3

The community will upvote if your post is deemed a good deal. You should practice doing so as well, if you think this post is a good deal, you should upvote.

    • +5

It was a success. Well done.

  • +8

Can one of the nerds please hook OZB up with one of those fancy search url's ?

    Cheer's Love ya.

    • +1

      There's one on the page.

    • +2

click url in post, scroll down. Hello search box

    • +2

The search link is literally on the ebay promo page.

      • +3

that search box searches particular words
alot of people (myself included) like the search the categories on the left hand side incase the product doesnt have the word you are looking for you still find it in that particular category.

        • The categories show up on the left on that landing page as well (desktop only).

        • @wolfshooter:
not all just a select few

        • +1

If you don't write anything in the search box and just click the blue 'search the sale' it lists all items.

        • @hamza23:

          Thanks works great appreciate it

        • Bird is the word.

    • There's a 'search this sale' box half way down the landing page the OP linked - does that do the same thing?

      • +1

Yes it does, that will also work better on mobile and be updated if any sellers are added/removed later on.

  • +1

    No first choice liquor :(

    • Just be glad there is no Warehouse1. :-)

  • Winter is coming :O

  • +6

I came here just for the price jacking comments :O

Nah seriously, so much Ebay 20% off going on that it has become standard pricing these days~~

  • Got some Sony XH-1000XM2 Wireless Noise-Cancelling Headphones in Gold for $297.57 delivered from Catch. Pretty happy with that. Do these come with an international warranty? Can I claim TRS?

    • Below $300 threshold for TRS … buy more if you want to claim :(

      • +3

Assume $297.57 is after the 20% off, but the invoice should show pre-20% off which means >$300 and therefore should be able to claim TRS.

I've done that myself (for a previous sale).

        • You are 100% correct. Just need a tax invoice with the full amount from Catch.

  • +23

Many thanks to FUTU Online for jacking up the 1050ti low profile video card, it's currently at $355 which is a absurd.

FUTU online? More like FUKU online!

    • +2

Perhaps it's owner is called Mr fxck. (Fuk)

    • This is exactly what ive been waiting for also.
      Spewin!

      • +3

PC Byte also price jacked it aswell

These 20% off deals are useless

    • +1

This is why i've boycotted both FUTU and PC Byte since my first purchase.

    • +1

I logged on just to jump on this bandwagon, it's pretty bad that they price hike, that's why it's good to know your prices, otherwise you buy because it's a "sale". Bloody a holes!!!

      • +1

THEY should be embarrassed by there behaviour what absolute scum bags Futu and pc bytes. They shouldn't even be allowed to be listed on the discount program.

        • “Caveat emptor” applies to buyer, not seller.

    • Report to ACCC?

If people keep doing it, hopefully they'll do something.

  • Can anyone please help me find a good Nintendo Switch portable charger? Is Xiaomi the preferred choice?

    • +1

      Any usb-C charger will do

    • By charger i assume you mean battery. If you want to be able to play + charge you will need a high amperage version designed for laptops.

Otherwise any old USB-C compatible 5V/3A will do.

      • Sorry - portable powerbank is what I was meant!

  • Anyone have experience on warranty from Mediaform computers? Thinking of buying a Microsoft Surface.

  • +2

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought something last night from Hobby Warehouse.

    • +4

      Not this crap again

  • Anyone got a working search link?

    • +2

Click the main link then scroll down a little and click the blue 'search the sale' button.

    • +1
  • +9

Sellers just jack up the prices.

Why do Ebay bother with this? It's an absolute disaster.

    • +1

It's free advertising. It's guaranteed to be front page of ozbargain with zero dislikes despite all the ozbargainers complaining about it.

  • No DJI Mavic Air in red :(

    • +1

I know red is the only shiny, but white looks pretty cool, particularly on display next to my RC Andromeda Nomad

      • +1

Extra time to save up for PolarPro filters to use on it :)

        https://youtu.be/VcP0oiQM9x0

      • +1

I just want it to standout if I lose it in a field or mountains or something haha

        • It's got tracking features if it goes down. You can find it on your phone.

        • 6 bucks and you can definitely spot them from afar

        • @m9: I like your style

        • @Putnum: what if the battery goes dead when I'm trying to find it? This is all just theoretical, I don't plan on this actually happening haha

        • @cNelson144: your phone battery? Then you're stuck between a rock and a hard place… in the woods…

          Pack a powerbank 😉

If you mean the drone battery then that doesnt matter. The DJI GO 4 app records every single flight and you can zoom in on any flight path.

        • @Putnum: Ahh I didn't know that, thank you!

What do you reckon the Mavic Pro 2 will be like? I'm still debating waiting till it's announced to see if it's worth the wait. Do you think the price will be $2000+?

        • +1

@cNelson144: Yes, definitely over $2k. It's larger too. I love my Air, it does everything I wanted in a drone in 2018. It's my first real drone, the only other one I've flown is the one from the Call of Duty Black Ops bundle.

  • +12

Good to see SydneyTec jack up their arlo pro 2 prices, so after 20% off works out to be a few dollars cheaper. They have also somehow cleared all existing sold price history so you can't compare.
    Good one!

    • +1

      wow, that is so shady

    • You can clear historical sold prices? Maybe it was a new listing which might explain why there's no sold history….

      • Looks like they have now removed all their Arlo Pro 2 listings

If I'm looking for an SD card for a dashcam, is this Samsung Evo Plus 32 GB for $16.72 (after 20% off) reasonable? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-EVO-EVO-Plus-32GB-64GB-1…

Both in terms of suitably large (I don't drive long distances and imagine I would notice within 1 hour of driving tops if I've had an accident), and in terms of a reasonable model (it's to go in a Xiaomi 70 Minute dashcam) ?

I know that they've been cheaper (down to around $14 for 32 GB), but I've been waiting for a decent price on SD cards, and it's been at least 5 weeks with no front page deals, so I'm willing to forgo the $2.70 just to get it solved (yes I know that's sacrilege on this site, but getting something resolved has a value too).

    • Just make sure your dashcam supports 32GB cards.

    • +1

      yes, it's reasonable.

      • Thank you, I bought it.

  • +3

always the same bunch of sellers with the same bunch of overprice crap

  • +11

my-phonez have upped the price of the Mi6 from $509 to $742 today - that's a 46% increase. Galaxy A7 went from $630 to $930, a lazy 48% increase. They have taken the 20% price jacking to another level. They are also selling an iPhone 6s for $1,156 before discount if anyone is interested :)

  • thanks, got a small UPS from Futu

  • +1

For anyone looking for iPad Pro's Ausluck hasn't jacked up the price of theirs so you get the full 20% off RRP. Not enough stock to post as it's own deal so be quick if you need one.

    • +5

Some one should let Ausluck know to increase it by 20%. It's our job to ensure that all shops price jackings are standardize.

    • +2

It's a sad indictment on these sales, when the deal is a seller NOT price jacking during a sale.

  • +1

Seems like a good price on this..
    Samsung 256GB Evo+ U3 Micro SD - $127.20

    • +1

Nice. I grabbed the Sandisk Extreme Pro 128GB for about $103.

  • Can anyone find a local warranty galaxy S8 under this deal? Obviously anything from HK isn't going to be local warranty, but the Aust sellers don't specify if they're selling grey stock or not.

    • Try Allphones or Sydneytec, both specify that it's AU stock with 2yr manufacturer's warranty
