  • One of numerous Woolies offers in comment a week back.

  • +4

$30 Pre-Paid Starter Pack will be $10 from the coming Wednesday.

    • +2

So, that essentially means the $30 prepaid starter pack is essentially free, if you scan your EDR card !

      • Yes,unless Woolies withdraws the bonus points offer.Anyway,it is once per Rewards card.

    • $30 Pre-Paid Starter Pack will be $10 from the coming Wednesday.

And Optus has their $40 pack for $15 till tomorrow on their website. Looks much like the Woolies $45 pack inclusions.

  • Can i buy multiple cards to use over the course of a few months?

    • One purchase per rewards card.

  • Fine print:
Bonus WR points not available in TAS.

  • I purchased a pack today. But didn’t get the bonus point. Is it targeted?

    • me too, read the fine print and said points awarded at end of promotion period.

  • T&Cs say
Your bonus Woolworths points will be automatically loaded onto your Woolworths Rewards card and may take up to 5 business days from the end of the promotional period to be loaded.

    They are refundable.

  • Probably targeted as the offer page cannot be reached from the home page of mobile.woolworths so only linked to from promo email.

    • It wasnt a promo email.
The link was on one of those flash? ads on a news website …anyone could access that

      • I got it in a promo email…

        • …but nothing mentioned on my receipt about the bonus points.

      • Maybe the person who got that news copied it from promo email. Anyway as it's not reachable from the home page, it's not intended for the general public.

  • Has anyone who was ‘targeted’ bought one of these?
If so, did you receive the points immediately?

    • +3

I just bought one - nothing on my receipt or in my Woolworths Rewards account yet.

  • no points immediately and still waiting

  • if anyone who was not ‘targeted’ bought one of these can you please confirm when and if you receive the points ?

    • Received targeted email offer & bought tonight with that Rewards card - no bonus points added on receipt, but may be added up to 5 days after end of promo.

  • I didn't receive an email about it, and I haven't yet received points for it (receipt or online).

    • I didn't receive the points. Nothing on the receipt.

  • I think the targeted customers who bought the $30 kit before today are kicking themselves thinking they saved $20 when they could have got it for "free" this week.

  • Bought 2 this morning, not received points yet. Mind you guys, please check the package carefully, one of mine doesn't even have a SIM card in it! I had to come back to the store and finally found it dropped out of the package into their cabinet when they picked up the package for me. Bad design

    A LATE UPDATE: NOT TARGETED!!!
Saw this Woolies Rewards promotional notice beside $30 SIM packs (similar one for $45 packs). Surprised this wasn't posted long ago! Admittedly refers to $30 pack at original price.

These are same details contained in email I received outlining this deal.
So not targeted, just present Rewards card when purchasing!

Should provide enough proof if challenging Woolies to recover points. Good luck.

Bought 4 packs on 4 Rewards cards at one time tonight after seeing this. (Previously only bought one on card that received email.) May go back for more tomorrow (last day) as local store had plenty.
Paid $0 by using Woolies Dollars on cards.
Staff member was impressed with my Rewards savvy ways - then I showed her the 2000 points offer😀

    • Instantly received your points?

    • Promo is to (before) March 20, meaning expired end of day 19th per their website. That right?

      • No, expires 20th March same as the catalogue

        • 2000 points isn't in catalogue, only the discount which ends today. Hope this doesn't catch people out as I was going to grab one today.

        • @neil:
          2 overlapping promotions:
Catalogue: $30 SIM for $10 until tonight (on special for 1 week)

REWARDS: 2000pts for using Rewards card when buying $30 SIM starter pack, ends tonight, started 28/2 - confirmed by promo offer found on display in store last night. I kept store notice as they don't stock the SIM. Photo link above.

Many report SIMs are hard to find & check expiry date. Points are not added instantly.

        • @nocure:

          The site says:

Buy a $30 or $45 Pre-Paid Starter Pack in store before 20th March to instantly earn 2000 points.

          and

Offer available between 28 Feb 2018 to 20 Mar 2018

          Midnight on the 20th is the expiry (e.g. it's the time between 11:59AM 19/3 & 12:01AM 20/3)

        • @neil:
          Published details are confusing!
          Overlapping offers are confusing!

REWARDS Offer t&c in email received:
Offer available between 28 Feb 2018 to 20 Mar 2018 - includes today.

Woolies Rewards in-store promotion tag above show 28/2 - 20/3 - includes today.

Deal link (from link in that email) shows t&c to 20 Mar 2018!
Only it's text states before 20/3!!

As Rewards promotion tag in store, t&c in deal link & email of offer state to today, I'd say today. T&C is what matters.

          Shouldn't be marked as expired

          @Infidel:

Guys I get it, I'm just saying they explicitly mention

Buy a $30 or $45 Pre-Paid Starter Pack in store before 20th March

to can be exclusive or inclusive of the last day.

          So either

          A) They stuffed up that part and deal finishes today to coincide with the other promo.
          B) The offer ended yesterday.

It's probably more likely to be A however there is a possibility for it to be B. Let me email our Woolworths contact.

  • so how much is the $45 Prepaid Starter Pack and will you still get 2000 Bonus Woolworths Rewards Points if I buy one today?

    • $45

  • Anyone got their points yet???

  • nope nada how long do we have to wait before complaining to them?

    • T&C:
Your bonus Woolworths points will be automatically loaded onto your Woolworths Rewards card and may take up to 5 business days from the end of the promotional period to be loaded.

5 business days after close of promotion ends tomorrow night. Check on Wednesday & then complain if not there.
I received email offer on 1 account & also have no bonus points yet. Have purchased 1 each on 5 Rewards cards for family.

  • If disputing points from Wednesday - could refer to photo of Rewards promotion in store in above comment.

  • +1

Had a chat online with Member Care Representative, said since the purchase price was not $30, then the offer was not automatically applied, he manually credited the bonus points. Case closed :)

    • That's good. Thanks for posting.
Should have been added by today. I've never had a problem getting points added by calling.

    • Doesn’t matter what it cost.
The link in OP says “purchase a $30 or $45 sim starter pack “
It doesn’t say “purchase a $30 or $45 sim starter pack for $30 or $45”.

They will try to wriggle out of it. Don’t give up.
      Make a complaint.

      • Right, the only thing is their "trigger" isn't automatically applied when you pay $10 for $30 pack, but you should be get the points anyway

    UPDATE:
Jumped on the phone, verified myself as being the bona fide card owner.
I still had the receipt, so asked her to look up the transaction for that date.
I had bought the $30 starter pack for $10.

    A REVEALATION (to me atleast)
Woolies can look up each item you have purchased in the last 90 days if you have swiped your EDR card.
I initially thought I might have trouble proving that the $10 transaction was actually for a $30 starter pack. But she straightaway said that she could see in her system that I purchased a $30 starter pack.
Points were applied by her straightaway and will be converted to $10 within 24 hours.

So, bit of a run-around, but managed to score a free months mobile service. Churn to Telstra $15 next month, which is already waiting in the drawer ;)

    Phone number to call 1300 10 1234.

Please do not dial 13000 10 1234. They (Digistar web solutions, VIC) get bombarded with people (like me) dialing the extra 0.

Gave up after 10 minutes on hold.
Best to try at a hopefully quieter time!

I got 5 for family - a fair bit of hassle because of their stuff up😠

Please wait while we are connecting you to one of our agents.
      You are connected to R.

R: Welcome to Woolworths Rewards, you're speaking with R. How can I help you today?

You: Did not get 2000 points for purchase (19/3) of $30 SIM STARTER PACK applied to my account! Rewards card 9XXXXXXXXXXXX

R: I am sorry to hear you haven't received these points. I can certainly look into this for you today. May I please take your name and date of birth to access your account?

      You: (Personal details)

R: Thank you for that information. What date did you purchase the mobile starter pack?

      You: date of purchase: 19/3

R: Oh I do apologize for that. Please bear with me for 2-3 minutes while I investigate this for you

R: Thank you for your patience. I can see that you were discounted for the purchase of your starter pack. This has brought your qualifying spend under the required $30 amount. As I can see that you purchased the correct amount inside the dates, I am happy to credit you the 2000 missing points today. Is this alright with you?

      You: thanks

R: My pleasure. Please allow up to 24 hours for those points to show on your account. I do apologize for the delay in you receiving those points.

      You: OK Bye

R: Have a lovely evening and thanks for picking woolies.

        Free $30 SIMs😂
Paid for all 5 SIMs with 2000 previous promotional Rewards points per account, being repaid with 2000 promotional Rewards points per account😀

Upvoted this great deal - earlier wasn't sure it would fly🚁

      • I tried to contact via chat, 1 agent denied the promotion saying that I can't receive points because I purchased 30$ pack at 10$ instead of 30$, another agent told me to contact Woolworths mobile directly.

        • That is the excuse why points weren't automatically applied.

Promotion (see deal link) only states
Buy a $30 or $45 Pre-Paid Starter Pack in store before 20th March to instantly earn 2000 points.

And does not refer to $30 purchase price paid.

In fact the t&c allow for differences in price!! Got you Rewards👍

So if you purchased 1 $30 Woolies mobile starter pack in store, within the promotion period, & scanned your Rewards card - Rewards owe you the 2000 points. Seems clear.

          T&C:
Offer available between 28 Feb 2018 to 20 Mar 2018. Offer can be redeemed once during the promotional period when you purchase a Woolworths Mobile Pre-paid $30 or $45 Starter Packs product and scan your Woolworths Rewards card in the same transaction. Your bonus Woolworths points will be automatically loaded onto your Woolworths Rewards card and may take up to 5 business days from the end of the promotional period to be loaded. Pricing and stock availability may vary by store.

@Infidel: I just tried the online chat again, after a few refresh because the name popped up was the agent declined to add point to my account, I was connected with a guy who happy to add point into my account.

        • @thienvamai:
Great. The other agents were just thrown by the price wasn't what they expected for this promo, otherwise they would have expected the points to automatically transfer.

Chat is handy - so you don't get the same person again. I've got 4 more chats before I gain all my points (5 SIMs on 5 cards for family).

      A REVEALATION (to me atleast)
Woolies can look up each item you have purchased in the last 90 days if you have swiped your EDR card.

Like Coles, they use your purchasing history to send you tailored email about items that you have purchased before that are on special.

      Big Business is tracking you.

        A REVEALATION😀

called up all sorted now after I gave her the url https://mobile.woolworths.com.au/offers/exclusive-starter-of… over the phone so she could read the offer then she spoke to manager to get approval and then I mentioned the 2 other linked family members on the same date of my purchase and she looked it up and applied the missing points for all 3 cards. wish I had brought more

  • This is a poorly run promotion and borderline false advertising, had to press the guy at rewards to credit my account with the 2000pts. Excuse was I purchased for $10 so the 2000pts don't count. Told them its woolworths issue not clearing stating the terms and condition of the deal. The only thing people had to do according to TC was scan card and purchase a card regardless of the amount paid.

30mins to get the 2000pts back, hope everyone else has an easier time.
