Best Visa Giftcard or Virtual Credit Card?

A lot of deals posted here require you to put in your credit card even for a free trial subscription (or similar).

So I've found two options, either buy a visa giftcard (like those available from Aus post and woollies), or use a virtual credit card service, which allows you to generate cards and put a fixed amount onto them (like $20).

For visa gift cards, what are the best ones available, with the longest expiry dates, and the lowest purchase/activation fee?

For virtual credit cards, what are the best companies to go with, again with the lowest overall fees?

Cheers!

Divipay. Free but have to top up at least $5 which you can use. No fees for foreign transactions.

Thanks bud, Divipay looks super interesting, i'll have to look into it further.

Out of curiosity, how do they make their money if the service is free?

Thanks again for taking the time to reply!

      • they have a FAQ on their website that explains

        • I can't see a "Here's how we make money" section on there.

Don't tell me, it's the x.com method. We invest the money you have stored in your account and we use the interest it generates to run the company! Our service will always be free! (Until we realise that doesn't work and/or become PayPal.)
