Absolute trash
Take no notice of those guys. The game is actually in a pretty good place now. The updates have added a lot of great content including a pretty good story and they've even added very basic multiplayer functionality. Recently the ARG that preceded the last big content update 'Waking Titan' has started up again which quite possibly means we're in the lead up to another big update.
I see these as excuses for people who spent money buying this and are in denial. I bought it and the updates don't make me want to play it any more than when I bought it.

There's a lot more content and features in it, I haven't played it in a while but for me the progression was too slow/grindy.

The updated version is called "No Person's Sky"
I stopped playing, but this game still has solid dev support. Worth it at this price.
Even if I just spend an hour checking out the pretty music and visuals, I'm satisfied with that for $11.
Make it $2 and i'll buy it

Its a good game, and has had 3 huge content patches. Became the internet's whipping boy (somewhat deservedly so) but the developers made up for it and if nothing else, the game is currently a work of artistic beauty. Of course $11 is a bargain.
Old news was a let down can't shake off that stigma for me personally but ymmv.

I wouldn't buy this trash on principle after all the lies the devs told during the lead up to release.
Even this price is too much. Actually free would be too much still.
