  • Might be a silly question but can these trees fit into a hatchback

    • Hmm not sure, you might want to get in contact with the person listed on the website?

    • Wow didn't explain the obligatory "can this fit in my 2007 Corolla Hatchback" to be the first comment lol.
Orange trees should be able to fit - they are high, but quite narrow, like a beanpole. Can't comment on the others.

    • There is actually a list of tree types and sizes being given out listed on their website link if you scroll down

  • I'm certain they would, could probably even fit in a bicycle basket. Most likely they would be no larger than a 200mm pot size due to logistics and costs. I reckon they would be a 50mm tube stock tree.
For example a 200mm pot sized tree retails around $25. The next size up is usually double that at least. This size the tree would be about 2 years old.
I doubt the NSW government would be giving away anything more valuable than this.
They'll most likely be an endemic species of tree like a banksia or grevillea etc. Not my favourite looking trees.

  • Just checked out their website. Actually some very decent trees and shrubs available. I didn't see any sizes though.

    • Yeah if you scroll down the website and see the headings in red boxes there will be sizes mentioned there, like:
      - Small trees and shrubs (5m to 10m)
      - Medium trees (10m to 15m)
      - Large trees (15m to 20m)

Good investment. Grow the tree, then pulp it and send the woodchips to China. Then sell the tree land to a Chinese launderer!

    • Don’t forget if you get a fruit tree, you get the fruits out of it too lol
