Recommendation for Men's Watch

Hi guys,
I'm bored of my Daniel Wellington watch so looking for recommendations for a new one:

  • Around 40-42mm diameter
  • Leather band
  • Chrono style
  • Elegant and luxury look
  • Not too bulky
  • Sapphire glass is preferred
  • Illuminated hand is preferred
  • Budget up to $600

I've been looking at a few brands:
Vincero: cheap, nice look, not sure about quality, not sapphire glass

Triwa: ok price, nice look, not sure about quality, not sure if they use sapphire glass or not

MVMT: nice look, cheap build and quality (already say no to this brand)

Simple Watch Co: nice and minimal look, sapphire glass, not sure about quality

Tissot: nice look, a bit high price but still affordable, sapphire glass, however no illuminated hands and there are a lot of FAKE Tissot ones on the market
I do like this onethough.

If you guys have any experience please share with me with some recommendations. Thanks

    • Thanks for your recommendation. I had a look at their website and read some reviews. Love the "Portsea" collection. The price is a bit high but I guess that's what you have to pay for a decent watch.
Have you ever bought from them and what's your experience?

      • Yes I own a Portsea. If you are in Melbourne you can visit their showroom. Usually once a year the have about 25% off on preorders etc. if you can wait it’s a healthy $200 off.

        • Do you when they happen, I'm keen on portsea or a Carlton collection, if you happen to have any code that would be awesome 🤓

        • @na8an: I do not know when they happen. You could subscribe to their mailing list or follow them on facebook.

        • @apple2016: thanks mate, I'll sign up.

  • my Daniel Wellington watch

    Goodbye, Anthonyng19.

  • Why not jump on aliexpress and have a look there?

    • So scared about quality there, although I know some of the big brands actually use Chinese manufacture…

      • have a look at various watches and then check the feedback left for those watches. buyers frequently leave photos with their feedback.

  • keep saving and spend you money on at least a Grand Seiko which is still a Japanese movement.

Middle range Seikos are good value, IMO.
I have two Turtles, a bit bulky perhaps but well made and good looks.

    Tissot visodate
    Seiko Sarb065 cocktail time
    Hamilton jazzmaster
    Orient Bambino

  • Hi guys,
Thanks all for your recommendations. After reading tons of review/videos I decided to buy a Tissot Visodate from Jomashop.
The watch came yesterday and I swap a new leather band to it (cause I don't like the butterfly clasp).
Here's the picture of the watch. It's actually more beautiful in real life.
