App looks sketchy. WhatsApp I mean WhatsCall has no relationship to the popular WhatsApp

    • 'whatscall'.. what a silly name

  • Feedback says so many ads with little credits

Yeah, unless you can refer to your friends then you got more credits to call

Needs roughly 700 credit per minute call

Yep, during a call to a friend, I got the Coles “Down, down, prices are down” ad start playing every 30 seconds.

    • I'm not downn for that!

    • But I could drive to a Supermarket if I wanted that kind
of background music in my life…

So basically you can make one quick call for free. How generous of them…

  • Sounds like an amazing app

  • Made by cheetah mobile. It's legit but all their apps have tons of ads

    • Yes, realized late..

  • Viber's call out is by far the cleapest. I am on Kogan but use Viber to ring international mobiles and landlines.

      Thought Skype was cheaper.

      • Will check that out, thanks

  • Unless you're making international calls to a landline where they're largely phasing out; Whatsapp, Skype, and fb messenger have free international calls WITHOUT needing to refer or pay $$ (provided they have the same app) how is this better?

    • of course that requires the person at the other end to have the app installed, device online, having data to chew & knowing their details. :-)

  • There are plenty of apps that are similar to this. The bad thing about a lot of those apps are sometimes very hard to just connect the call. The last time I tried, actually, this app has a pretty good connection. Yes, the downside is they are very stingy with the points you can earn, charge big points to make a call. Interestingly, they give a very generous points on an iPhone (not iPad). The other pretty good alternative app is dingtone.
