You could donate them to charity and then have your friend buy them back.

  • People have tried to commercialise this, one well known from the US: http://sharktankblog.com/toygaroo-bankruptcy-update-from-for…. It fell over after a couple of years, they claim "too much growth, too little capital".

    Uh huh.

The two companies mentioned at the end of the article seem to be dead as well.

Wouldn't work in Australia as shipping costs would kill you.

  • A bit of Miltons Solution or a good steam is all old toys need to be put back into service. Stuffed toys can be put in the freezer overnight, it will kill any live bugs and germs.

    • Do you have a source for freezer killing germs?? Best I could find is that preserves things like bacteria and they start multiplying once thawed

      • https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn10676-can-flu-viruses… basically, virus survive freezing in droppings and such, but in neutral ph .conditions will likely die. Bacteria thrives in certain conditions, freezing is not one of them.

        • Thanks virus might be safe but while bacteria won't thrive in a freezer they won't die either. Scientific American
They quite happily come back once thawed. In one article I found Listeria can actually grow in the freezer.
If you can wash it, that would be safer.

    Oooohh, you meant children’s toys…
    changes vote to “sounds great”

    • D size battery sales took a short spike for a moment there

  • Spit swapping, adults do it too, don't see what the big deal is - "Sounds Great".

  • If you don’t mind introducing a variety of faecal matter into your house, go ahead.
