Buying Software Thru a VPN? Any Problems or Risks?

So I'm in the market for a paid antivirus, and changing my location on the VPN does alter the asking price (by up to 75% I've found). Is there any risk in doing this? Has anyone had experience with this or with similar digital purchases?

Also antivirus recommendations much welcome :)

Bitdefender and ESET are pretty good!

Who is that dumb to "buy" antivirus ..there are plenty of free options good enough as antivirus.
plus plenty of free firewalls as well

Next thing you'll tell me is that you haven't paid for WinRAR

      • 7zip check it out

  • NOD32 is where it's at.

Windows Defender is sufficient for everyday purposes - Unless you're looking up some dodgy stuff.

MalwareBytes and Windows Defender should be a good enough combo.

Gun to my head, if I had to pick a paid anti-virus one I would probably suggest BitDefender. I bought it years ago after reviewing a few different ones and have stuck with it since.

VPN may set your credit card provider off.

    • Dang didn't think of that. Thanks
