I'd like to know if anyone who has purchased a Jetstar eGift card through the Entertainment Book website (with 5% discount) in the past, actually used them for flights departing from an Asian country (like Singapore etc). The t&c says that it is for flights departing from Australia, but I'm just wondering if this is actually enforced.
Also, if I pay a partial amount with the gift card, does it completely wipe off the credit card surcharge for the remaining balance that will be paid by a credit card, or do I have to pay the full amount with a gift card to not pay the fees?

I've gotten normal jetstar gift cards through work as a present and they didn't work for any of the flights I wanted to use them for which originated in Asia (including one that was to return to Australia). So I sold them to a colleague who used it for flights departing Australia.
Given the above, pretty sure its enforced.
