The review you have linked to isn't great. I.e. it says its over priced and similar or better drams could be had for under $200.

    • ratings of 89-90 indicate its probably not the best tasting one based on age and price, absolutely

thank god im not a distiller, imagine waitng for something for 40 years to turn out not as good!

      • I might give it a miss.

      • Do they really wait for 40 years ? never been able to get clear answer on this

        • +1

Yes, if there is an age statement the youngest barrel must be at least this age.

      • Well, no one waits 40 years to bottle. Distilleries put aside some barrels every year and eventually the business builds up an inventory of old whiskies. The only challenge being when to crack it open and sell. People are often blinded by age and think the older the better. I bet people would lose their nut over a 50 year old whiskey regardless of what it tasted like.

  • geez sold out in 2 hours, thats impressive

The power of Ozbargain. Without it, they’ll be selling 60 year old whisky

  • mmmm… legal scottish hooch from a dead distillery

  • They are ordering more tomorrow and you can go on a waiting list if you missed out

    • do they come from a local source or from overseas?

wonder how long the wait is?
