You are tempted by crap? Or is there a comma or exclamation mark missing?

  • Any of those have a refresh rate above 120hz?

    • +1

From what I can see, they are all 60hz

      • same here, but on mobile so couldn't quite be sure. I can't use anything less than 120hz now… ruined by 144 I am!

  • Just curious… The Dell 25" UltraSharp list on Dell with 21% off at A$513.00 (including GST and shipping)

Just found the same model on Amazon.com.au for AUD 462.29 (plus shipping?)

… becoming more suspicious of some of the deals appearing these days, especially eBay.com.au where in many vendors are marking up prior to applying their currency 20% discount (rebate from eBay?). Just had a look for some 8tb WD Red drives the other day and now the same couple of vendors have returned them to RRP before the 20% off discount. I guess it pays to be more cynical and suspicious and not just alert these days.

  • U2718Q Is usually on sale for $750 through Dell or less than $700 during eBay sales.

    • Yeah, you're pretty close. Currently $759.20 on Dell's ebay store, which is $30 cheaper.

Same applies to the U2717D - $24 cheaper on Dell's ebay store and $67 cheaper on Futu Online's ebay store.

  • Anyone has any experience with the ultrawide series?

Looking to upgrade the office with one, hoping that it can enable better workflow.

Probably everyone that reviews monitors has tried the ultrawides…

  • Dell UltraSharp 25 Monitor | U2518D (Includes 21% Off) $513

Wow. I scored a good deal if this monitor costs that much. I bought a U2515H (now discontinued model) from the DFO for $333, and a few days before the 1 yr warranty was up, it stopped turning on. A power outage killed it somehow. Dell replaced it with a brand new U2518D (which had only been on the market for about a month). If this thing is normally $649, I effectively got it for only $333.

This model ditches the unreliable touch screen controls of the U2515H, so I'm happy with that. It comes with fake HDR, and semi wide gamut.

Dell's service is extreme good, aside from the line quality of the indian call center. It's hard enough to understand them without the low audio and static.

  • Dell UltraSharp 27 4K Monitor: U2718Q (Includes 21% Off)(accessories.us.dell.com) $789

You can buy this monitor cheaper at Dell's ebay store with PRINT. It's $759. I'd wager other monitors are cheaper there too, but I haven't bothered checking.

Ends tomorrow though. I'm very tempted but there's not enough time to research and decide. I need a new table to put it on. I've got 2 monitors on my desk already. I have to move the ATX case off and find a small table for it, and might need longer cables for everything. ARGH.
