  • Looks like this model has a USB type C port for charging, very nice indeed coupled with that FHD IPS Anti Glare display and 256GB SSD & close to

10 hrs real world battery time. Wonder if that RAM can be upgraded?

    • Are you sure 10 hours battery life? 45Wh probably lasts it 4 hours which is an overstatement.

      • +1

No, not sure at all. Just read on their description Lenovo states Up to 13 Hrs. ( always over optimistic I know, sometimes lucky to get

30%-50% of stated time ), so I watered that down a bit to Up to 10 Hrs. thinking of mixed use and some sleep in between for tea

        brakes/lunch etc lol.

Maybe the poster below who has this computer can comment on Real World use times.

    • Yep has 2 SODIMM slots, can go to 32GB maximum. I bought the i7 version recently and am planning to put in another 8GB to bring it to 16GB total, but RAM prices are pretty crazy right now!

      • Thanks. I would wait for prices to drop too ( hopefully our $ will pick up soon too ). 16GB in there would be real nice :-)

I waited over a year to buy a stick of 8GB low voltage notebook ram for prices to drop ( laptop three years ago only had 4GB installed in the one and only slot ), and after many Chrome Crashes with computer being on/sleep for days/week(s) at a time and many tabs open etc. lol. So caved in and paid around $45 delivered I think, has not crashed often now and all good.

This only has a Micro S/D card reader slot correct? Shame not full size S/D, but have you tested the speeds for the reader?

        • Haven't tried with SD card sorry.

          @sauron256:

Thanks. What about battery life so far?

    • wondering if it has space for a sata SSD, 256GB isn't much if it becomes your main rig.

TA is probably preparing a TA code on the Lenovo sale for the real TA's from Ozbargain.

Let's hope they do it for an X1 Carbon this time around.

      • For gen 6? Wishful thinking mate hehe

        • Yeah, I figure it's a couple months old now, expect at least 10% off.

      No backlit keyboard, unfortunately.

  • Showing to me at $899 - already activated code DEALS ???

    • Less Cashrewards 5%

    • +1

Sorry, probably should have stated in the deal that the price is after cashback.

      • I thought that prices had to be stated without cashback (just like price matching). But I can't quickly find an example.

          It's in the posting guidelines

Price. May include discount or saving (e.g. “$2 off” or “half price) if space allows. However, the price should NOT include any referral discounts or cashback (commission refunds) - include that in the deal description instead.

  • Easter sale but ends a week before Easter is it likely to be extended ?

    • I can't comment on whether it will be extended or not, but it's Lenovo, and they have these sales all the time.

  • hi i see the sale has now been extended until midnight next Friday - do they invoice on order, or when the product ships? Trying to get something in the sale but pushed into next FBT year

    • Thanks, I've updated the deal.

  • Thanks OP

Re Cashrewards, taxes and GST seems exclude from cashback

  • Deal is expired now, code no longer valid
