Plus the Blu-Ray selection at my local kiosks are pretty pathetic.
Agree! My local VideoEzy closed a couple of months ago and replaced by one of these kiosks. On the weekend i went to the kiosk trying to spend the $10 voucher but after 15 minutes of browsing i left empty handed. Blu-rays are at least 3 months old! I think this business is set for failure.
It's a weird feeling when you have a $10 voucher (potential for 4 movies on Tuesday) and you just end up leaving. We got a few Blurays this month but currently there is nothing worth watching.
Watching this Cinemassacre piece on their collection, I can just about smell the store.

I always remember couples arguing about what to watch, the sniffy counter staff who always thought they were the business and not going in for several months due to an accumulation of late fees.

I think they earn money from over due. It is hard to go there 2 days in a row.
I used it for the first time Tuesday. Have a kiosk right outside work so no trouble at all to return on time.
That said though I got a couple, watched one and fell asleep during the other. Second one felt like a chore to watch the other before I had to return so glad they were free.
You know who else is giving movies away? The internet…

Thank you for posting. I use these kiosks with my son when we go away for the weekend. These vouchers come in very handy.
I miss the old days of video stores, the steady stroll down the isles pondering what to watch, it was like an adventure. I mean Netflix is great and all but the experience just doesn't feel as real.
