Same deal as every other one. I get these in my inbox every week. They are very desperate for subscribers.

    • +6

I’m waiting for them to reduce further.

      • +1

I initially had one for $3/month when they lost the hbo shows. I declined.

      • It was lower, I signed up for 12 months at $4 a month around a month back (just had to pay for the full 12 months upfront for that rate).

  • +17

    Satisfied - how ironic

  • I assumed that it is targeted?

    • +1

No, it's from Broadsheet. Available to all.

  • +24

FYI, the ads are crazy, for some shows it's basically live TV levels of ads

    • +15

      So not yet YouTube level

      • -2

FYI If you put a minus after the t in the youtube link (i.e. - https://www.yout-ube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ) you can watch it without ads.

      • No one can beat YT.

      • +1

We're talking about a paid service. Youtube premium has 0 ads. Best investment, especially with youtube music bundled in.

    • +2

goverment mandates limit the amount of ads on tv, but they dont apply to the internet

    • +1

      https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=R3HI3EEvM_w&pp=0gcJCRsBo7VqN5t…
Reminds me of this, kind of ironic that this was Foxtel/Binge and yet they are the worst for it.

  • +1

The $4.99/month for 12 months offer comes up after I purchase from BWS.

  • +3

Title states 50% discount but premium is 23% and standard 26%.

    • +1

Fixed. Just need to hit the report button in future.

      • +1

        Will do, thanks.

      • What report button, where is it, just for future reference?

        • +1

Under the expiry date. Near "Bookmark", "Reminder", "Hide".

  • +8

Should be a free to air channel, utter garbage!

    • -3

Should be a free to air channel

      Why?

      • +1

Short attention span? Could only read half of my post??

        • +1

Not everything of free to air is garbage, and vice versa for pay tv…

          • @jv: Binge is, hence my comment

            • -2

@BatmanAU: Nah, I like some of their lifestyle and travel shows.

              • +4

@jv: Awesome, well there is a discount code for you above. Good chat

                • @BatmanAU: I'm already paying that.

  • Would've been good to stack with the $10 cashback from citi but I guess that's gone now.

  • I signed up to the $17 premium for 6 months in July - i wonder if i can cancel now and then re-sign for the 12 months at the same price instead….hmm

    • if its a monthly $17 payment then you should be able to cancel it anytime and then your sub will expire on your next monthly payment date, then you can start a new sub

  • +1

Just bring back the HBO catalogue, no further price reduction needed

    • +8

That's never happening now that HBO Max has launched here.

  • +2

    Yeah nah

  • +3

5 a month is very fair tbh. I think the live channels are great and a much better alternative to foxtel.

That being said, I don't know how big the market is for people who want foxtel in 2025, but don't have foxtel.

    • +1

They are showing ads in that tier, so it balances out.

    • -3

I don't know how big the market is for people who want foxtel in 2025, but don't have foxtel.

I'd imagine it's mostly a subset of the Boomer demographic, which means it's a market in terminal decline.

  • +4

    I got 2 months for $2 each.

Even at that price is not worth it without the HBO content.

  • +9

I predicted the death of Hubbl and calling the death of Binge too. Part of the poor legacy left by Newscorpse

  • +2

Binge is full poo lad. The app is garbage too

    • +1

      I love Spanian!

  • +2

Binge only ever worked when it was a rebadged HBO Max.

Without that content, it's probably the worst value offering on the market.

  • +2

I have boycotted everything Hubbl, They are greedy and sneaky. Everything i have tried is crap too. Especially Binge

  • +1

They need to merge with stan and be done with it

    • +1

One day, we might have a platform that has everything in one place … where you could chose what package you wanted, sports, movies, drama… one day

  • +2

Want a Kayo deal along the same pricing

  • What shows do they even have?

    • +2

        • +1

Warrior is a must watch for any Bruce Lee fan

    • They do not have as many great shows as they used to when they had the HBO catalog, and to be honest they are probably one of the weaker streaming platforms now.

That said, they still have the odd good show and I recently subscribed briefly specifically to watch the following:
      * What We Do in the Shadows
      * Colin from Accounts

I was on a $5 per month for 12 months promo - I figured, it's the price of a coffee these days so even if the content isn't great I'll still get my monies worth. I cancelled after 2 months. It really is that bad.

  • any paramount codes? i need to watch dexter

  • This has been a great reminder to cancel that 6 month trial that I never used, which expires in 10 days.

  • Can anyone please walk me through how to add this deal to an existing subscription please, step by step?
I tried adding the subscription through the link but all I have managed to do is to cancel my existing subscription which was due to renew on 25 Oct.
I've already tried logging back in - via the subscription deal link on this post - but can't add the deal.
    Thank you my lovelies x

  • What is there left to watch on Binge since HBO Max fragmented off?

  • Didn't work for me. But decided to try as we watch Netball and NRL which this has.

Code didn't work but then their website gave me Bingle 12 Months for $12.40 a month Standard.

  • Waiting for the day of the jackal season 2

  • I think binge is good in terms of the overall coverage of content.
Recommendation engine needs a lot of work imo. YMMV.
App is straight out bad. Samsung tv app specially looked like doesnt support subtitle.
There's been instances where I preferred to go down piracy route even if it was available on binge. Again, just my horrible exp with Binge.
I recently cancelled netflix. Paying for prime and YT premium only at the moment.

  • just finishing a 6 months deal, there's nothing to watch there,
thanks for posting but it's just not worth anything

  • Netflix is getting too expensive. Maybe it is the time to switch.

  • My free 6 months is not finished yet and I can't even find anything to watch since the HBO Max migration.

  • I'm on a 12 month plan because I had some credit i needed to use up, once that runs out I'm probably letting it go for good as there's nothing on it anymore
