So for $600 you are basically giving just 3 sensors and there'll be an ongoing cost of monitoring app after first 3 month. Are you kidding?

    • -3

Not just 3 sensors but you also get the panel, keypad, remote and a home automation switch.
The Smartphone app allows to you control the alarm from anywhere in the world, You can arm/disarm the system. You get notifications when the system is turned on or off and you get notifications on any alarm action. You can also add on Home automation or IP cameras which can be controlled via the App

Hardly normal pricing in a bad way

Not sure if this is the real Harvey Norman. Sounds like a trademark infringement to me

Lanwill Pty Ltd trading as Harvey Norman Security

        NSW, 2147

Yoogalu is apparently the Harvey Norman parent company - asx documents seem to confirm this. The ACN/ABNs and master security license number checks out.

The reps email domain, hnsecurity.com.au, is registered to:

Unfortunately, despite the terrible website, I think it's legit. Some of the online reviews look like they could be fake, but the company has been around a while.

What's more amusing is they launched their "new" site design in June 2017.

Their old website looks more legitimate:

Not sure why negging. This is a discounted price and it's normal for the base package to include only a few sensors.

$600 for a turnkey z-wave security system with all the bits you need to get started, seems like a bargain tbph.

    wait…no cameras?

  • Vendor in title please.

I'd feel safer with my $600.

A 100% higher chance of losing $600 if robbed.

      • An internal alarm and smartphone won't necessarily stop you getting robbed…

        • -1

So 10 blaring sirens and lights and approaching police cars won't scare of a robber

        • @Superninja418: this is not a back to base alarm system. And where does it state it includes 10 blaring sirens? I've run an industrial alarm for a business with a very loud external siren, back up UPS, door and window and PIR sensors, back to base monitoring, security grills and deadlocks and no police cars came rushing when we were broken into. We had security patrol cars come around but by then it was too late. And you're suggesting a smartphone notification will fob them off lol!

  • So…where are your T&Cs on your website….only saw a "privacy policy" and "our guarantee"
but that could be me not looking very hard

  • Will be in the bargain bin outside your local HN next year in a tattered cardboard box with yellowing faded stickers, marked down to a price buster special of $598.50
