  • Ordered two, thanks

What I find funny are these 000X speed ratings. If you didn't know already, they're based on old school CD drive speeds. We're talking really slow (there's a chart online). 466X is how many multiples of this super slow CD drive read speed. Which is around a read transfer speed of about 70MB/s.

  • Looks like there are only two left online, choose 3 and it says out of stock.

      limit 2 per customer?

    • I got 2 click and collect by ordering them individually.

  • Sold out in FNQ stores.

  • Thanks, ordered two. Could only order one at a time C & C. So two separate orders

  • Thanks OP. Managed to secure one for a basic camera!

  • Delivery to 3205 is $9.95.

Think I'd rather pay a couple bucks more (at least from a quick search of previous deals) for a Sandisk Ultra or Samsung Evo instead just for proven brand reliability.

    • Agree - the two times I have owned a usb and ssd card from this brand they both ended up failing.

Is this supposed to be funny?

  • Sadly I think the usb reader is only usb 2.0? Still a good deal for the memory card though.

    • +1

USB 2.0 is still faster than the SD card.

    • Yep,
Up to 70MB/s Read speed, for nitro performance
Perfect for Android smartphones & tablets, GPS, HD camcorder, and many more
Class 10 UHS-I, U1 performance for fast and smooth continuous shooting and full HD Video recording performance
Water proof, temperature proof, magnet proof and X-ray proof
USB 2.0 card reader and SD Adapter included

  • There was stock available at my local store…
Then when checking out, forgot my password, so retrieve.. logged in and then, no more stock!

Lucky I found it at another store a bit further away.

  • X-ray Proof

    What??!!!

    • "Safe"

  • Ordered 2 for pick up. Got a call from the store soon after that they don't have any stock. They said that they are going to ship it to me with no shipping charges. Hopefully I receive them soon.

Which store? I'll try the same!

      • true ozb style

    None left in WA 😯

  • Sold out in SA. Only taking delivery orders.

  • $13.95 delivery is a killer for me no stock in any nearby stores on Gold Coast.

  • is that a CLASS 1 card? Didn't think they were still made!

You need at least class 6 for devices and definitely class 10 for recent phones and ANY DSLR camera.

I wouldn't use it even if it was free…

    • +1

      It's a UHS 1 card…

      UHS 1 = about 40 MB/s minimum transfer rate

      Class 10 = about 10 MB/s minimum transfer rate

      • Uhs-i 1 is minimum 10MB/s write. (that's what the photo shows)
        Uhs-i 3 is minimum 30MB/s write.
You got to look in the u for the little number inside.

        "class 10" = uhs-I class 1 = V10 (all are minimum 10MB/s write speed)
        There's UHS-II as well

        • Okay. Now I'm less confused about that but more confused than ever.

What I meant to say was READ speed.

        • There's a lot of confusion here.

U(digit), e.g. U3, is the write speed of a card. This card is U1, so it writes at 10Mbytes per second.

UHS-(Roman number) tells you how it transfers data. UHS-I is very common. UHS-II cards also exist, they have a second row of contacts in addition to the standard row.

I think it's stupid that the SD card association created two different measurements, and made them both start with the letter "U". It just causes confusion, and lets some retailers imply that a card is faster than it actually is.

        • @Bamboozle:
The read speed of a card isn't described in either the U-number of a card, nor the UHS-number. The only way to find out the read speed is to search on the internet, where you'll find websites that benchmard card speeds - including the read speed.

      • ahhhhhhh

  • Managed to grab one for pickup before they sold out. Thanks OP.

  • mmm… strontium

    • +1

It's something you ingest instead of calcium, which was all the rave a few years back (replace your calcium with Strontium, make your bones stronger as it's a metal). Unfortunately, you'd have to take it as a supplement forever.

  • Kodak?

  • They canceled my order.

  • Mine too

  • Picked up mine in Auburn NSW.
Ordered two but could only fulfil one :(
