    My Breville smart kettle is 5 years old and still going… but this kind of kettles use digital thermostat and they only last a few years.
    Comparitively mechanical thermostats can easily last more then 10 years (heating element will likely to fail before the thermostat). If you don't really need those temperature settings there's no point to buy these kind of kettles.

      The first one was also the Breville and the other is an Electrolux. Both failed in warranty period thankfully.

    We have the non digital version and it is very noisy, cant hear the TV 10m away when it is going. Looks good though

    I have one, it's much quieter than the old kettle, boils faster and the lid isn't too hot to touch

    Actually just checked and we have the Distinta model, so not exactly the same. Looks to be the same price on Amazon
