    Old news.

    • what do they mean "(no transaction splitting is permitted at point of sale)" ??
My favourite trick is to go thru the self-scan section, and end the transaction every time I get above $30, then continue on. For a weekly shop you can easily get 3-4 credits on your card.

      • I'd say that it's more of a warning than anything. However, it should be noted that if you are using your Everyday Rewards Card, they'll be able to track when all of your transactions are made. So theoretically they would be able to see what you've done and remove any duplicate vouchers/discounts.

      • I dont think, there is anything wrong in it. But the point is you will gain only petrol credit and very very less Quantas points.
Woolworth cannot cancel other credits, as you have actually purchased the goods.

Anyhow, I dont like caltex discount, as even after the 8 cents discounts, it is higher than my local petrol pump :(
I have been be fooled 2 times, when I saw the rates on the board outside and started to fill my tank, but realized the rates on board were after the 8c discount.

        • They usually list it as 2 different prices, but they put the discount price up top with colourful writing/background. It's not exactly the best way to do it, but most of the petrol stations are doing it now…

The stations I really don't like are the ones that advertise "discount unleaded" as cheaper, when it's just the ethanol-mixed stuff.

Either way, always ensure that you compare the pre-discount prices before making a purchase.

Oh, and if the pump price is more expensive than the price on the sign you are allowed to complain in store and always receive the cheaper. Just FYI.

      • My local Coles (Rowville) will let you take a receipt for $60 or more up to the service desk, they will scan it and print off as many as you are entitled to (1 per 30 dollars). So during our regular $120 shop, we end up with 4 vouchers.

      • I usually get the check out chick to stop the transaction at $31, then do another transaction and so on. They are usually pretty happy to do that.

  • was already mentioned here, but didn't have its own post http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/35683

  • So old, why bring it up??
