Free drinks @ Redfern - in all honesty I'd avoid this, but if you are fearless and/or used to it then by all means.
The Negroni cocktail is made of one part gin, one part vermouth rosso, and one part Campari, garnished with orange peel.
Been there a few times, a great little gin bar - the people there really knows their gins and they also make some beautiful cocktails. Why would you avoid this, what is there to fear? If I worked/lived in the area I would definitely go.
The police station is literally across the road if you're that worried about anything.
I'm sure there's beautiful cocktails there and the gin bar in itself is a lovely place. However, Redfern at night isn't exactly an enviable place to be, much less so with free drinks offered.
As I said, if you are used to this or it doesn't faze you then by all means have a free drink.Just make sure you don't become tomorrow's news.
You can get your two free drinks at 4 p.m. and still make it to Centrelink before closing at 5 p.m.
