Thoughts on The "Cheapest" iPad Ever (iPad 2018)

Supports Apple Pencil - Good. Very good!
A10 Chip - Fast!
Band 28 (for cellular model) - Yeah!
9.7" - Just right!
Price - $469 WiFi, 32GB, no Pencil - Bad. Will wait a couple of months when price begins to drop.

  • I heard the 6th gen will be $669AU. Also, there is conflicting info at the top about Apple Pencil.

    • Pencil should work. But it costs 25% of the tablet itself. Too much. But hey, if people can afford those airpods…

  • $439 if you can access the education store.

    • I reckon a price drop coming after 3 months as there's no way it will replace a cheaper, more versatile Chromebooks

Did you really have to copy a whole web page in here?

    • Perfect training for this. Might win you a prize!

  • We are getting so close to 16gb of RAM/memory I can smell it.

    • What exactly does that smell like? Online.. utility bills?
      :)

I think I saw you in a thread somewhere, pondering the purchase of Hisense (not olfactory) tele. Be careful

The C in your name doesn't stand for Communist, does it?

      AlienCommunist

      • ?

        • Maintaining the intrigue? Just not certain? It's Easter I'll allow both

  • The article, from last year, but Apple Pencil enabled Samsung Note Phone competitor could still materialise at some point, for anyone desperately hanging-out for that.

  • Great timing for me - kiddo needs one for school.

Apple is running out of ideas…

    • But the pencil is a nice addition. Expect alternatives from Aliexpress.
