Cheers, got one of these I leave at work, been keen on grabbing another for the bed side.

Does the blue LED stays on all the time?

I know mine only turns on while a phone is charging, and because it's on the underside rim of the charger, it's hard to see even when it is on.

Had this for a year now; it's been awesomely handy for bedside charging. Phone does heat up a bit even while at 100%, but I'm pretty sure it's just from the wireless charging in general.

but I'm pretty sure it's just from the wireless charging in general

I had the same issue as well but then I replaced the micro USB cable with the original that came with Galaxy’s S7 and never had heating problem with my iPhone X. So you could try using high quality Micro USB cable to see if that helps.

It stays on when it's charging and it's bright, I had to pull mine apart and paint over the led as it was keeping me awake at night (It's on my bedside table). Not only that it's makes a very faint buzzing noise when it's charging, if you have sensitive hearing it'll annoy you.

        • Yeah, I switch my Xiaomi powerboard for night because of the sounds it makes. Fair enough, ta!

        • +2

The sound is more important to me than the light. Thanks for the heads up!

      • Yes, when its charging. If you don't like lights nearby when you;re sleeping I wouldn't recommend it for your bedside table.

That said, I'm very happy with mine.

Just a note for iPhone users - it isn't fast charging for iPhone 8/X as it only supports charging up to 5W for iPhone

    • Cheers

      • Fast charging sucks as it makes more heat, radiation (if by your bedside) and wears out the chemicals in the battery.

I bought a $6 round one of eBay. I leave the iphone on it all night so don't need it to fast charge anyhow. For that I can plug it if I ever need to. Maybe these qi chargers should have a switch so you can enable the dual coil fast charge for phones that support it as energising both coils is not necessary.

  • When applying the code I get "This coupon only applies to specific products." What do?

I had the same issue. You need to select the CN warehouse one not US. Hope this works for you.

        Legend cheers!

  • Just noticed price went through at 13.99USD on my order not sure what I missed to get the advertised 12.99USD price.

  • is this compatible with s9+? cause it doesnt say

    • They probably haven't updated their description considering how new the S9 is.

Seems annoying that it supports all these phones that have USB-C and then comes with a Micro USB cable?

    • +8

Ive just realised how stupid my comment is…….Its wireless ya numbnuts!!!! :P MY APOLOGIES!

  • Do these products include a fast charging AC plug, or do we need to buy one ourselves?

Planning on using this at work while my original AC plug charger stays at home.

    • You need to supply your own (or buy one separately). It's just the 'puck' and cable.

I bought this other day. Works very well. Less then 17 AUD delivered from Aliexpress including 10% cashback from cashrewards/shopback.
Its popular in Amazon as well.

  • How many phones can you fit on there at the one time ?

    • Just one due to size of the charging pad. Normally phones have to sit in the middle of the pad to charge.

  • Does anybody know if this works with an Apple Watch 3? Description doesn't mention any Apple Watches so I'm guessing no.

  • Very tempted to buy one but am worried about it shortening the life span of my iPhone… I’m planning to use the same phone for at least five years…

    • +1

Some reports say yes. Test it out and just get a new battery at the end of the year. AppleCare+ is free but
Through December 31, 2018, the out-of-warranty battery service fee is A$39 for all eligible iPhone 6 or later models. Battery service at A$39 may be limited to one repair per iPhone.

  • Does this work with a case?

    • +2

Depends on the case. Thick cases or anything with metal is a no.

  • Anyone aware of a cheaper charger if you do not require fast charging - but is a reliable brand (similar to above?)?

    I have an iPhone 8.

    Thanks.
