[FREE] Visual Flight Rules Guide from CASA

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Visual Flight Rules Guide (VFRG) published by Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

This has been online since 2015 and is a great resource for anyone interested in aviation. CASA also offers a print version of this guide and it's priced at $34.95 (plus $15 shipping).

If you have no interest in aviation, this page would be very handy when speaking to overseas call centre staff - specially for names and addresses :)

  • If you can afford to fly a Cessna, I'm pretty sure you can afford the $34.95 book.

    • I fly a Cessna and did buy the printed guide. Still ended up using the online version on iPad when I needed it.

  • +1

Thanks. Hoping to start training towards my RPL soon. This could come in handy.

  • Was better a few years ago when you could download it as a PDF.

This is not a deal. It is a good freebie.

  • Great, Thanks

  • Roger, Rover, under over. Out.

That was a great read. I often wondered what certain words meant when I have heard pilots say things. Some of them are obvious, some not so much. I only fly quadcopters, so don’t have much dealing with air traffic control, but the way laws are going in Australia with regards to quads, things on this VFRG page may become more relevant.

    Thanks OP. :)
