Overview

The Xtreem RaptorEye RC Quadcopter has qualities other drones dream of. With its compact size and lightweight construction it’s perfect for inexperienced pilots or as a gift idea for younger flight school rookies. The RaptorEye’s black and yellow, rotor protectors, aerodynamic chassis and eye catching undercarriage lights are hard to miss. With cutting edge flying capabilities from Xtreem's Easy-Fly Gyro technology, it has 360 degree manouverability including up/down, forwards/backwards, sideways movements ('banking' and left and right turns), flip, stunt tumbles, continuous rolling and more.

You can also share your flights with friends and family as the RaptorEye has a camera onboard so you can keep an HD video record of every twist and turn of your flights at the push of a button on the game-styled remote controller. Using a powerful 2.4GHz transmission the drone is controllable from up to 130ft (40m) away and is easy to recharge using the included USB cable, with 90 minutes charging time providing up to 7 minutes of action-packed flying time and you can enjoy twice the fun with the included back-up battery doubling the flying time to 14 minutes.

The RaptorEye RC Quadcopter may be light weight but it’s heavy duty fun.

    "Was $99.00 now $99.00" typo

    • Thank you, I should get some sleep

  • How does this go with wind?

We live near the sea and the breezes can get a bit strong for RC flying.

EDIT: - just read JB HIFI reviews and quite a few people report issues with responsiveness to control and that their machine just took off and kept going…. somewhere else.

A couple also suggested indoors or light/no wind.

    • This doesn't handle wind well, even on the highest speed. I have one and its ok for a bit of fun, but its not the easiest thing to fly.

They can just keep going when they get out of range, I managed to get mine stuck in a tree because of that. Was just lucky that it managed to find its way out of the tree.

Have not used in indoors, but it would need a decent amount of space.

EDIT: Spare parts are near impossible to find too, I bought a bunch of prop guards that looked like they were the same but they aren't. Everything on the Swann site is out of stock too.
