It's showing me higher AUD price than mentioned in the title
* Choose USD as your currency. Don't select AUD, always choose to pay in USD, it will work out cheaper even after your credit card conversion fees. Also read the below.

Nope, just e27. I am using the adapters and think they are quite safe, though will eventually swap the fittings over for ikea ones

      • These are ideal to use in lamps. So make sure you buy a lamp 2 with e27…

      • Could you link me to the Ikea adapters on their website, I can't seem to find them.

I'd prefer those to ebay ones.

I was referring to the light fittings that they sell, most are e27.

I was told that they used to sell adapters, but it doens't look like they do anymore.

        • @xev: Yeah that's the bit that worries me, if you look em up on the US ikea and change the link to AUS it's been specifically removed.

@Zondor: I wouldn't worry about the ones on ebay, I have been using them for a few months now and they are fine, unless you are planning on headbutting them there shouldn't be any issue.

There are also different kinds as well, perhaps restrict search to Australia, and search from most expensive down, maybe you will find some that you feel are of a better quality.

    • The adaptors are safe and as they are leds, the unit isnt going to heat up too much. Risk with the adaptors comes with bulbs that heat and the fact the adaptor pushes the bulb further out towards a fitting which might be affected by heat.

Otherwise the adaptors are safe and being led based products and not heating up too much, just use the adaptors (or pay somoene to swap to e27).

  • Damn I want a few more of these but the deals are always expired by the time I see them
