Hoover Heritage Stick Vacuum $149 @ Godfreys

60

Pretty good stick vac for the price. My Dyson broke and needed something quick and did some research to find this.
4/5 stars on product review, and on sale. After first use I can recommend it’s as good as my old V6, but at half the price.

Dyson V6 only slight better rated Typically circa $299 on sale, and more if not.

  • Here for some expert opinions

  • Hoover is significantly overpriced in Australia and lots of products are exclusive to Godfreys. They will push you to buy more expensive products the second you tell them what you are after. Hate how they treat customer. I’d avoid to visit the shop unless absolutely necessary.

    Just checked a few stick vacuums in the states they barely make to the $120 USD mark let along rrp near $300 aid. Not sure if it should be called honest price or a deal

    • To be fair, we used to sell made in Australia Holden’s cheaper in the USA than in Australia.

      Same can be said about apple products, and pretty much a tonne of other stuff, including Dyson.

      Pretty useless point to make really.

        None of the brand you mentioned triple the price like Hoover does.

        • If only what you say had any references supporting your claim.

          https://www.hoover.com/vacuums/cordless-vacuums/

          Here’s from hoovers website, mostly in the $200-300 USD range. Meaning it’s closer to $300-400 after exchange rate. Plus they don’t include vat, which is added on checkout depending on state vat.

          So clearly your words are without claim.

          @cloudy: How about this?

          Amazon:
          https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00MVNT2FI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=…

          Priced at 69.99 USD about 91.2 AUD according to XE, plus tax give or take 10% makes it around $100AUD mark

          Here’s godfreys price A$299

          This is just one of the examples.

          @allenhori:

          Making blanket statements and providing one example, that isn’t even related to this deal, isn’t very helpful. I linked 9 products (at Hoover’s own website) to prove your inaccurate price statements.

          Find this same vac if you want me to treat your statement seriously please

        • @cloudy: You wanted example to proof my point and you had one. It doesn’t take long to find an example and there are heaps more. Do your own research or live with it.

  • this is rubbish you are better off with the blue VAX model from bunnings for around the same price

    I've seen the Aldi Easy Home 2 in 1 cordless stick vacuum in a few stores still, now on clearance. Original price was $99.

    Here are the details.
    3 year warranty, Li-Ion battery.

    That hoover has an old-skool NiMH battery and 12 months warranty…

  • I have had this stick before, I paid $99 a couple of years ago.

    It does an ok job. Definitely not as good as the v6 which i upgraded to. The dyson v6 would pick up dirt in the grout lines which this hoover did not.

    I then moved & new place got floor boards, I upgraded the v6 to the v8 absolute as the v6 did not do a good job collecting dirt from the floor boards, but the v8 fluffy head did a good job.

    lol … NiMH battery

    run as fast as you can

  • We have the very same, paid about the same, it does an OK job on mostly tiled floors. Didn't use it for the first two years as it wouldn't pick up anything. Eventually we found that there was packing paper jammed out of site in the intake tube beyond the roller brushes. DOH .. :-( .. !! Note that we have had it five years in total now so it's an old model.

  • Is this even a deal? This is what they were priced at around Christmas time

    • I bought my Dyson around 299, it was 299 for about 1 year at various stages, always gets voted as a bargain , so does a repeat in price mean something is less of a bargain? Shrugs I dunno, but I bought this recently and it’s good at sucking and it’s not $300. So I post.
