Wireless over Ear Headphones with Best Quality under $200

I'm looking for a pair of wireless over ear headphones with the best quality under $200. Mainly for listening to music. Not for going to the gym. I don't need them urgently. Happy to wait for specials.

I've read positive reviews on Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2. Does anyone have any opinions on these headphones? Does anyone have other suggestions?

Many thanks.

Do they come in over ear?

Simply attach the airpods to this and you're all set.

They sell ones for $20 at the reject shop that have surprisingly great bass and sound quality. They’re bulky though and I stood on mine and they snapped like a twig. But if you can avoid standing on them, they’re pretty good for $20.

The OP is asking for decent headphones at a $200 price point and you suggest garbage at $20?

But they say "deluxe" in the name

      • OP said under $200
        They are under $200.
They are decent headphones, have you actually tried them?
Would they be more appealing if they had a $200 price tag?

  • I have owned a pair of BackBeat Pro 2's. I also have the Sony XM2's and Bose QC30 (the neck-band model) so I have a fair bit of experience with ANC headphones and earphones.

The BBP2's are good. ANC is not anything close to the Sony's or the Bose but its nice to have although it doesn't do too much. Sound quality however is pretty good but it doesn't have aptX, aptXHD, or LDAC etc so if you have a source device that offers aptX or LDAC and that matters, you may want to look at something else. The BBP2s are kind of uncomfortable (for me) as they had smallish earcups and got hot quickly. I highly, highly recommend you go to a JB HiFi to try them on.

Chronologically, I had the BBP2's, then the Bose, then the Sony's. I think, having tried the other two, my impression of the BBP2's became a bit more negative.

If you try them on in store and they feel comfortable, I would recommend them. Probably the best-in-class at that price point.

    • Thanks. Is the Sony XM2 the same as Sony WH1000XM2B from this deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/369569)?

      • Yes. These are the ones I have. Got them for $317 in December at Addicted to Audio in Newtown (Sydney). Really good pair. I can have these on continuously for hours with no discomfort (I frequently go 3-4+ hours constantly).

  • Bluedio T4S has pretty good reviews. May want to check Aliexpress, can be had for <$35 sometimes
