Any Samsung Galaxy S9 Plan deals?

Hi, I'm after a Samsung S9 on a plan for the Mrs and unfortunately missed out on the Optus $59 + $10 deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/367131)

Anyone aware of any other similar priced deals or family/friend offers?

  • I bought the Telstra Pixel 2 XL $59 deal, sold the Pixel bundle for $1000, and bought a Galaxy S9 Plus for $1100.
So it cost me $100 up front, but I got the S9+ and 20gb Telstra plan for $59.
Not sure if you can still sell a Pixel 2 XL bundle for 1000 though. There have been quite a few sold in the last month or two.

  • When did that S9 Offer come out! I have been waiting for that phone to go on special. My S6 Edge has started to fall apart after the last update. Lags like crazy and is hot like a grill. Hopefully, a $59 even offer is not far.

    • Factory reset my friend.

      • And get s8. This is the time to get s8 not s9 be smart don't get sucked by big corporations in to buying their latest gadgets.

  • I am not actively looking to upgrade my phone, but that $69 deal is fairly tempting considering Harvey Norman was giving away a $100 gift/eftpos card on top and some people got a free premium case as well. I don't think you will have to wait too long for another deal to pop up though.

  • I hope a similar deal pops up again. I would have been on it in a heartbeat. I hate when I miss bargains on OzBargain.

  • Hey! So this deal has come back!

    • But now it doesn't have international calls.

      • and its now lease

        • +1

Can someone explain what the difference is between lease and regular plan?

        • @datzed:

I noticed that the major carriers now offer it. It's basically the same plan but around $10 cheaper than a "own a phone" plan. But after your contract is up, you have to return the phone in good condition. I don't think it's worth it to save $240 over the life of a contract to have to return a $1000 phone.
