        Stop talking crap

        • Did you find the tyres?

        • @JetBombat:

No, still have a few months of tread remaining. Waiting for a better deal.

  • Likely ones you can buy straight from China on ebay. Support an Australian brand!

    • such as ? (any guidance appreciated)

Bambooty. Designer bum were two brands we have. They are usually at the (free) baby expos which appear on ozbargain frequently.
Both I guess are Also made in china but at least it's sort of Australian. No complaints about them as well worked well for us. And staff are very nice.

3-5kg? How long are these meant to last? Probably only suitable for newborns.

Be careful, most washing powders will ruin reusable nappies. Or make them stink the second they are weed in.

It will take a while (6 months) but most powder builds up some kind of residue you just can't get rid of even with "strip cleaning". We now have hundreds of dollars of useless nappies because the instructions that came with our nappies are crap.

"earth choice" was a suitable powder.

    • Thank you for your insight, didn't know that about the detergent

I disagree. Washing powders with SOAP, or washing powders that don't wash well enough and don't wash out all the ammonia, will ruin them. I've used Omo, Omo ultimate, Almat and Trimat, and my baby bares are looking and working great after 2+ years. I initially used Biozet which didn't work (and the supplier agrees it's not for heavy soiling), we got a smell build up from the ammonia and had to strip them.

For more reading, CCNDU on Facebook (or their website) are a wealth of information that is mostly science based.
FWIW, they don't recommend Earth Choice powder, but if it's working for you then great.
