I just went to purchase $800 worth of turf and I only have a 25.35 discount.

    • +1

It only applies to one item per transaction.

Just be careful if you're buying multiple items (as in 2 or more of the same item. It seems to only apply the discount based on the unit rate).

For example, I was just trying to buy 2x$49 coupons and got this:

these last minute 6pm-midnight promos are quite frustrating

  • Works with cashrewards?

    • usually yes but this time i have trouble to activate it

  • What do you guys buy? Looking at the site, some of the deals are worse than entertainment book by miles. eg. https://www.groupon.com.au/deals/bistrot-gavroche with a very very overpriced wine list, 25% off from entertainment book is more decent.

    • looking @ travel stuff, seems to be reasonable priceing

    This is pretty good value
    https://www.groupon.com.au/deals/holla-melbourne

    $27.20 for two - meal + coffee - $13.6 each.
4/5 on zomato. 4.4/5 on google review.

  • Booked a Vivid Cruise. Date night sorted for May.

Doing it in two transactions then booking together using "Booking with Friend" feature allowed for the full discount to apply without risk of booking the last single slot for something.

    • Which cruise did you choose? Theres so many, dont know which one is better.

    • Which one has this option?

  • Is it just me or is this site excruciatingly slow on Firefox? Quite bad on Chrome as well but not as bad as FF. Using the latest desktop versions of both (win10)

Question….who absorbs these daily 10-15% extra discounts? Groupon itself or does it pass the costs to the vendors?

    • Groupon would pay for it as part of their advertising budget.

    • +1

Don't worry.Groupon's profit margin is much bigger than the discount.

      • +1

I worry more for the vendors. They're already squeezed

  • If you are n the Northern burbs of Melb, the Santos Cafe deal is good. 2 pizzas and 2 drinks for just over $20(with this 15% off). They also dont limit what you can get with for the drinks. The pizzas taste great also.

I only want one deal and for some reason it’s not accepting the code. It also didn’t accept the previous SURPRISE code either.

I’ve checked the fine prints of this particular deal and it doesn’t say anything about not being valid for it. The Groupon rep couldn’t figure out why either.

    Sigh….

    • The stupid site doesn't allow you to press apply code button. Just press enter if it's that case.

  • same here haven't used groupon for ages and not working for me on a restaurant deal

  • +2

I had came cross the same prob as well, it seems this error only occurred on expensive deals , I initially tried to purchase a $149 deal French restaurant , it didn’t work and I went to the live chat with the groupon customer service member who told me will escalate to the relevant team. Then I found another French restaurant deal , also $149 , no Working either.

I just give a trial for those cheap food deal and there are no problem at all. Seems the groupon has set the restrictions for the deal with certain amount . Dodge
