Thanks OP. It worked. Got 3 months free (inactive Uber One).

  • 👍

  • +11

    Worked great.
Also looks like you can also cancel it straight away to avoid getting billed"

    "End your Uber One membership
By continuing, your membership will end on 15 Nov, 2025. Keep your membership active to keep the benefits coming."

    • Did you successfully proceed without cancelling staight away?

      • +1

I applied the promo. Then cancelled the uber one subscription. I still got access to Uber One untill 15th November.

        Woo hoo!

        • same here

      • +2

Yes, worked for me. I made a new account today and was able to cancel immediately keeping the Uber One benefits until Nov 15, 2025.

  • +3

My 6 months hasnt even expired since the stan promo :(.

    • Me neither :(

    • +17

This one is valid until end of the year. Just set a reminder to use this once the Stan one has expired

    • Same. I got till end of oct, set a reminder to use this in nov.

    • -1

I have the same Stan promo, if you get the churner number e-sim here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/902663

you can get another uber eats for free right now for 3 months. If you have other numbers and don't need to use this churner thats fine.

If you do this, you can get 2 accounts so one time use promos can be used by you twice. for example: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/919660

And then before this deal expires make sure to redeem 1-2 more accounts for 3 months so you can use them for another 3 months.

In the OzB spirit I am giving away my secret techniques.

      • +1

What is your secret for a second number to keep? Mine expires end of the month but there isn't any good cheap 365 deals to churn into

        • So I have my main number and right now I am using this Moose Mobile plan: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/919144

Its $12.4 for 6 months and then when you get to your 2nd last month start keeping an eye out on this website to see what other cheap mobile deals come out and then scoop them up.

For my second sim I actually bought the 90 day catch sim card (a month or so before catch closed down and catch mobile became onepass mobile).

that second sim still has incoming text and calls, I didn't check what the expiry was for the incoming but its been 3-4 months now and i'm still using the number as a churner to sign up for free accounts for example amazon prime free trial or this uber eats 3 month free.

Let me know if you want to know anything else!

        • +1

Also wanted to mention that Aldi mobile has a $5 PAYG plan that you can use, that plan has a 365 day expiry and with that you can get a number and receive SMS. I had a look at the critical information summary and it mentions that sending an SMS costs 15c but it does not mention exactly what the cost is to receive SMS, only that you can receive SMS if the plan is active and you have a non zero prepaid balance. If we assume that receiving texts also cost 15c then that is still next to nothing because you can get a number for 365 days for only $5 (the $5 cost of the sim actually gives you $5 of balance prepaid credit in the card also).

And then with that $5 you can receive 33 SMS if they cost you 15c a pop to receive. That would be worth it imo, just spend 5 bucks and you can get all the free trials and good thing is there is no ID requirement so you can buy as many $5 sims as you want. If you do this, you can theoretically sign up for multiple free trials every month and only pay $5 for each of them per month, saving a lot of money.

          • @AS1253: Thanks. I want to keep my second number to receive SMS for various stuff I've signed up to. Will go aldi tomorrow and port my number in!

          • @AS1253: Receiving incoming SMS text or call are always free if your number/account still active. Never heard that you get charged for receiving sms before - even when you’re overseas.

            • @timhn: I know that in normal plans that is the case, but I had never used this Aldi one before and like I said, they are (intentionally) vague in the critical information summary so thats why I didn't want to give advice when I wasn't 100% sure.

              Thank you for your insight.

        • Also I think there is a Onepass mobile plan 365 day expiry for $149 which is $12.42 per month, good price.

Might save redemption for closer to the silly season when I'm more likely to use Uber.

  • +8

It looks like you've already had a membership. Unfortunately, you're not eligible for this Uber One offer.

    • +1

Interesting. I've had multiple memberships and still could use this one.

  • +3

Thanks OP. Had a paid active membership. I cancelled then added this successfully, and cancelled again with an expiry of 15 November, 2025.

  • +19

    ?15% off the iconic

    • +1

      Same?

    • Did you click "Yes" or "No" to the "Are you an Uber One member?" question?

      • Yes

        • Then there's your problem. It's in the post title: "New & Previous Users". Not "New & Previous & Current Users".

  • +2

Can I cancel it now or wait until Nov?

Just tried, can cancel it now, membership will still active until 15Nov.

    • I second that.

  • +2

When things go wrong with ubereats, it's getting harder to get in contact with a human now.

Missing item from the order, the automated response just said whoopsie no refund. Absolutely rubbish.

    • +1

I had to DM them on twitter to get a refund when a restaurant scammed me, none of the other avenues for support worked.

Don't use Uber eats any more, all door dash

      • +2

Yeah Uber is absolutely the worst company ever when it comes to sneaky practices. Doordash is the only one that has proper phone support

  • +2

CBA yello has 6months free + $30 credit - will do that once my current uber one ends in sep

    • That ends Feb 28 though, so you could do this one then yello.

  • +1

I also got this from shopping at Iconic but never worked on my existing Uber One saying 'It looks like you've already had a membership. Unfortunately, you're not eligible for this Uber One offer.'

This one offers 15% off Iconic not Uber one I see

    • +1

      ^^ this, i got a 15% coupon code, not +3m membership …

  • I said uber one member before and it gave 15% iconic instead. Then I said not uber member and it said I had a membership before :(

  • +2

Was on one month free. Cancelled it (which took about 15 clicks of "yes I'm sure") and it was cancelled immediately. Followed this link, clicked "not an uber one member", and it took me to sign up page. Added payment method, uber took a $1 hold and I got three months free uber one. Cancelled this one now based on comments above, and it says it's still in effect until 15 November. Thanks OP!

    • Glad it worked for you mate! Enjoy the free Uber One membership for 3 months!! :)

    • Why did you cancel a free month?

      • Because it wouldn't let me get these three free months if I already had uber one.

        • You could still have let it run out and then got 3 months free from there on right

          • @Big-Deal: assuming it was still valid then, and I remembered at that time, sure. but at least one of those things wasn't going to be true.

  • I just activated a 1 month free and 6 months half price the other day

  • +1

    Thanks OP

  • +4

Thanks OP - I got this one too, but you beat me to it.

Just for the sake of convenience, here's the generic hyperlink for the free 3 months trial enjoy- https://messages.uber.com/public/messages/4095fc10-b2b1-4de9…

Didn't work for me, error message:
    Offer isn't valid anymore
Unfortunately, that offer has reached its maximum number of redemptions. Look out for more ways to save in the future.

  • +1

Worked for me just now. Thanks OP

  • Thanks OP worked for me.

  • You've already had a membership

It looks like you've already had a membership. Unfortunately, you're not eligible for this Uber One offer

  • Still worked, thanks OP!

  • Thanks.

  • Worked for me. Cancelled immediately, free Uber One till 15th November.

  • Signed up.
Where the main benefit? Save $4 on food delivered?

  • Thanks op. Applied and cancelled immediately. Don't really use Uber eat much except rare occasions that I travelled for work and too tired to go out to eat after a long day.

  • Thank you.

  • +2

My stan offer finishes mid September. So if I cancel that and sign up through this link. Does it work and extend 3 months from September or from today? or better to wait and hope this offer is not exhausted till mid September?

    • I wanna know as well

  • Great deal.

PSA - it wouldn’t let me proceed with “sign up” so I changed payment method to ApplePay and all works well, cancelled right away so now don’t have to worry about auto-renewal in mid-Nov

  • Hey hey! While trying to cancel and claim this offer, Uber One offered me 50% off for the whole year… took a snapshot but can't seem to find the upload photo button!

  • huh i got this "Sorry, you are not able to view this content at this moment." trying eveyr day since 3 days ago
edit picked the wrong option should be not uber one member.
    good now

  • With Uber 1 do you still get discounts if using Uber outside of Australia?

  • Thanks OP. Worked through opening site on phone (even existing uber ex-premium account) but not through browser on desktop.

  • I get a Couldn't Load Content error

    • scratch that, click no to being a member and it worked

  • I still have a free one till october ill need to try it after that I think
