I tried a few cleanskins from DM's recently. 1 was drinkable, 1 I poured down the sink, and 1 was 'cleanskin DRY WHITE' and it was excellent.

With this deal, and using cashrewards and Woolies e-gift voucher then this 'cleanskin DRY WHITE' averages at about $2.55 per bottle.
I ordered 4 x 6 bottle cases.

Most DM cleanskins are good, as long as you buy the more expensive kind with red/blue/yellow writing. The cheaper cleanskins are really hit or miss, and some are worse than cask wine at $2.50/L.

This one is terrible. Purchased 2 bottles and honestly a $10 4L cask is far superior. No idea why people are rating it 4/5 stars.

"Attractive blackcurrant fruit characters are well matched with toasty oak in this easy drinking blend which delivers outstanding value for money."

There is no blackcurrant flavour, just a very weak red wine with absolutely no oak at all.

Yes. That one (the 63) is quite nice. I've also had the 51, 71, 32, and 52 and all of them are good. At 25% off they're fantastic. I ordered 3 cases myself and will pick up (thanks CR for another 3.5% off).

        • Thanks. I'll order a 6 pack and sample a bottle on Wednesday night.

      • 63 was quite good, especially at under $6/bottle. I was I had ordered another 6 before the discount ended.

  • Hi OP, thanks for posting this. I ordered the DRY WHITE which you mentioned. Anything else you (or others) would recommend, as outstanding quality for the price? Thanks in advance.

I've been on a bit of a Clare Valley Riesling kick lately and really like this. My father in law brought a bottle to lunch recently and if you told me it was a $20 I would believe you.

The Margaret River Chardonnay is probably the pick of the bunch for me it drinks like a $20 bottle! The Clare Valley Riesling like @ebosh mentioned is also quite decent as well.

  • any good sweet red wine or Moscato? Thanks.

Thinking of trying these given the few reviews are quite positive.

      Cleanskin No 33 Moscato
      Cleanskin Moscato

      • +1

thank you for pointing out on those two :)

      • +2

the Cleanskin No 33 is quite reasonable. though should be drunk chilled.

        • +2

Thank you, as per my taste, any Moscato should be drunk chilled :)

  • i have 6 cleanskins in my basket right now. I am at the final payment bit and still no discount?

    • Go to payment page

      • I was right up yo the final payment bit. I did have six different cleanskins just to try them. so I changed it to 6 of the same variety and it then applied the discount

        • so your saying it has to be the same cleanskin?

EDIT: tried 6 and showed a discount at checkout so looked ok.. just thinking where i can pick this up from now lol

        • @prankster: Yep within 6 of anything including spirits "'In any six' prices applies to purchases of 6 or more bottles of Wine or Spirits. "

If there are any known good reds let me know. Thanks

    Didn't know you're a connoisseur Peck ;)

True. $2.55 per bottle is a bit above my normal tipple price and so will keep it for special occasions. :))

"Store Maximum Click & Collect order volume reached"

No luck at my local store . What does this mean ?

    • Pretty self-explanatory, it means that store has reached it's maximum C&C order volume. Try another store.

      • I tried again an hour later and it went through no worries .

Thanks for posting. Add this to my pantry for cooking. ;)

    • Yes - not bad with a bit of chill - but I think it might be hard to find - my local hasn't had any for months ….

  • A bit pricey for a cleanskin, don't you think? (the "kiwi Pinot Noir")

    • I recall going to a winery once (or was it twice - anyway it was a big day) They said something like the bottle and cork (it WAS a while back) cost them something like $1.50!

  • Always make sure you have clean foreskin

  • Doesn't work for the Shiraz Cuvee :(

  • I'm impressed. $8.99 for a single bottle. $8.55 in any six. $6.41 with discount. That's a double discount.

  • Thanks OP..hit Dans today..6 bottles for $25…2 Soft Red,2 Dry Red,2 #63.Damn straight!

  • Thanks Peck.
Just ordered a 6 pack of the Cleanskin No 33 Moscato for $28.50, which after stacking:

    • $28.50 - 25% = $21.38 (however on DM it came up to $21.36).
    • $21.36 paid for with a 5% WISH eGift card = $20.29.

So $20.29 for 6 bottles, or $3.38 per bottle. Not bad, as I usually go for Gossips at $3.99 per bottle.

I just 'took one for the team' and cracked a bottle of 'cleanskin WE2 Chardonnay'. (Normal price $3.75) I can report that it is VERY drinkable.
My disclaimer is that my entree was a 6 Pack of VB stubbies, and so my taste buds may have been dulled.

    • VB stubbies

Didn't expect an esteemed Plat Charge holder such as yourself to be downing VB! But what do I know, I drink Moscato, not beer or red/white wine…

I do crook my pinky at the same time! hehe

        • Hehe ;)

  • Trying to buy some more (second time) and it shows: 'Promotional Discount-$5.64' 'Subtotal (inc $4.11 GST) $45.20'. However I calculate - it is not 25% off.
Also - the cheap ones went from $3.5 to $3.99 per bottle.
Ok - there seems to be a problem with dry whites that are not available instore (7 days). The more I add the smaller the discount.

Second update: did some more tests. For 6 wines, the discount is the biggest and decreasing (in dollars, not per cent) with every additional. Two days ago, it worked differently!

    • My order showed
      1 x Cleanskin WE2 Chardonnay (case of 12) $45.00
      Item Subtotal $45.00
      Promotions - $11.28
      Order total (inc GST) $33.72

  • Does anyone know if this is limited to wines that have "cleanskin" in the name? For example, there are other 'cleanskin' wines that don't say 'cleanskin' in the name eg GR14 Langhorne Creek Shiraz but the discount doesn't seem to apply to those
