Great price for the whey. Housemate just paid $160 yesterday.

Is any of this scientifically proven (with sources + citation) to burn fat?

    • Black coffee or coffee in general is an appetite suppressant the rest is probably a placebo effect if anything.

      • +1

Well yes, but suppressing an appetite doesn't actually burn fat. It's all gimmicky by the sound of it.

Raspberry Ketones have the complete opposite effect from weight loss on the body as you are forcing in man made (Raspberry ketone products are all man made) ketones which your body will use as fuel instead of fat….so any product that contains this ingredient should be avoided if your goal is fat loss.
Chromium Picolinate is good for helping lower cholesterol and an essential vitamin for the body as most people with poor diets will have a deficiency of it.
The other products are negligible when it comes to fat loss however will provide assistance with it. Also depends on if they are clinical doses or not. Caffeine itself is a diuretic so at least helps with water retention.

    • Only eating less than you burn, burns fat. So gimmick if you ask me.

      • +1

Exactly. If calories in > calories out you gain weight. Simple as that. What a load of crap.

      • The items listed here are focused on preventing consumption (thus promoting eating less), or raising the resting metabolic rate (thus promoting higher resting caloric burn).

Up till a few years ago caffeine was the number 1 studied chemical ( might still be), so there are multiple replicated studies to back that up, but can't say the same about the rest of them..

  • Just bought a 10lb bag of ON whey. Good price
